SCP-1000

Class: Euclid Neutralized Unknown

Containment Procedures: Do this later.

Description: SCP-1000 is a humanoid male of middling height with black hair and green eyes. SCP-1000 refers to itself in the third person, going by the name Jim, Old Jim, or Jolly Jim. SCP-1000 was first discovered in a wooded area near ████████, Ohio in 1936. SCP-1000 is a metamorphic creature, occasionally assuming different forms based on the person with whom it is interacting. It generally favors animal forms—spiders, ravens, and snakes most prominently.

SCP-1000 is extremely manipulative, capable of convincing those interacting with it to take risks or make choices which they might otherwise not. While the ability does not appear to be paranormal, over 90% of those who interacted or discussed a choice with SCP-1000 found themselves taking irregular actions. SCP-1000’s communication is generally done with stories or parables. It has a tendency to tell long tales which the listener inevitably applies to their own life.

((Ugh. Man. Haet.))

SCP-1000 entered Foundation custody in 1945, where it remained until 1947, when issues in containment became so dangerous that Foundation officials razed the forest outside of ████████. SCP-1000 became frantic, entered a coma, and later “turned to ash.” These ashes are currently stored at the Site-██ Reliquary.

Addendum SCP-1000-1998-20██

Unbeknownst to Foundation Officials, mainly due to the fact that SCP-1000 was archived after its Neutralization, reforestation efforts near ████████ were being performed. These efforts were largely successful, and since that time, sightings of SCP-1000 were reported by local civilians, leading to Foundation officials fencing the forest and setting up three watching posts. No definite sightings were reported by Agents until 20██, when SCP-1000 sent a child, Timothy ██████, to the listening post with the message: “Jim is sorry. He is going to sleep.”

Timothy ██████ was remanded to Class-D status (currently assigned to SCP-███ until his tenth birthday), and the forest was burned again and converted to an industrial park to prevent further reclamation efforts.

SCP-1000 status currently Unknown.
