Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a combination safe on the 3rd floor of Sector-25. It can be accessed for testing by personnel with level 1 clearance or above, with permission from site command.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a toy robot originally produced and distributed by [REDACTED] with movable limbs and head. Unlike other non-anomalous copies of the same model, it also has movable knee, ankle, elbow and wrist joints. During tests, it was found that when SCP-XXXX is handled with the intention of using it to play with, onlookers describe seeing the subject attempting to use the toy moving their own limbs in an odd fashion, while the subject will describe having played with the toy normally. When other subjects have been introduced to attempt to play with the toy as well, onlookers have described fights between the subjects, while the subjects will claim to have simply been playing with SCP-XXXX and another toy.
After removing subjects from contact with SCP-XXXX, they have in all cases reported no knowledge of the actual events which took place. Additionally, in all cases it has taken subjects between 5-10 minutes to realise they were not actually playing with SCP-XXXX and to acknowledge their injuries. After this time, subjects have all responded with a degree of shock corresponding to the nature of their exposure to SCP-XXXX.
Note it is safe to handle SCP-XXXX, provided it is not handled with the intention of being used as a toy.
Recovery: SCP-XXXX was found by the Foundation after reports of children in [REDACTED] nursery, [REDACTED] regularly fighting with and hospitalising each other, while others were often found with limbs bent and fractured at odd angles. The victims would be aware of the situation after ceasing contact with SCP-XXXX, but would have no reliable recollection of events during contact, each time having perceived themselves to simply be “playing with toys”. After the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX were ascertained, Foundation agents seized the toy and Class-B Amnesiacs were administered accordingly.
