Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a locked polymer gun case in site 12 when unused. Since SCP-XXXX can be damaged, and already is, it requires regular mainenance. Due to its nature, only the research team assigned to SCP-XXXX is permitted to use and maintain it.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a single-shot pistol, apparently home-made. Its appearance suggests that it was home-made as an improvised firearm and that it was rarely maintained, visible from the rust and weathering. Though SCP-XXXX appears to be a break-open single-shot pistol, the barrel is in a fixed position and cannot be opened. The trigger, however, is entirely functional.

Due to its contiditon, it is currently impossible to open up SCP-XXXX, so how it works is unknown.

When the trigger is pulled, a compressed pellet is fired from SCP-XXXX. Through an unknown mechanism, this pellet is comprised of a random part of the user's body, fired out in a compressed pellet at subsonic speeds. Tests have shown that, once fired, whatever part of the user's body was taken remains missing and does not regenerate beyond that of the body's normal rate.

SCP-XXXX was recovered from the garage of a house in ██████████, █████, along with a few pages of instructions detailing on SCP-XXXX's use. According to the recovered documents, SCP-XXXX was designed in 19██ as a self-defence weapon. It originally took samples from the user's digestive tract instead of a random area. It would appear that SCP-XXXX's anomalous propety has degraded over time due to being miskept.
