Item #: SCP-XXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXX is currently located in the underground facility in which it was discovered, dubbed Site ██ and now repurposed as testing and holding grounds for technology-based anomalous objects. SCP-XXX's reaction chamber is located 0.81km beneath the surface and admittance is restricted to researchers and security personnel with Level 3/XXX clearance. No one is allowed within SCP-XXX's reaction chamber while the object is active except for specified D-class personnel engaged in current testing. The dual-airlock and sanitation entryway is to be guarded at all times by a minimum of two (2) armed personnel.
At all times, a minimum of two (2) technicians trained in the operation of SCP-XXX-2 must man the control terminals, alternating in eight-hour shifts. If variations beyond the 150% threshold occur, general alert is to be sounded. If variations reach beyond 300%, Blackout Protocol is to be enacted to protect Foundation property. Due to the unstable nature of SCP-XXX-1, no other anomalous object is to be brought below sub-level 10 without prior authorization of the Site Administrator.
Description: SCP-XXX refers to a construct located in the lowermost chambers of Site ██. SCP-XXX-1 is a geodesic sphere approximately 14m in diameter. Tests conducted upon apparent spare parts show that the outer sphere is a layer of tessellated plates composed of a substance chemically similar to obsidian, each featuring either 10 or 14 metallic emitters. The cross-bars appear to have no function in the unit's activity but instead act as stabilizers.
SCP-XXX-2 is a control panel located in the room adjacent to the reaction chamber for SCP-XXX-1. Several remote workstations are also present, but the mainframe to which they were connected was removed before Foundation acquisition. SCP-XXX-2 was the only functional device in the facility upon first discovery; however, the console has no hard-wired connections save for a power cable and no transmissions have been detected. How it communicates with SCP-XXX-1 is currently unknown.
A plaque above the entrance to the control room lists the given name of SCP-XXX as "Omnipresent Reaction Generator, Unit 6", or "ORG-6". This is in compliance with the observed anomaly caused by SCP-XXX-1, namely a static field of energy surrounding the device that can be manipulated using SCP-XXX-2, though by default fills the entirety of the reaction chamber. How the device generates this energy is unknown; blueprint fragments located elsewhere in the facility suggest an unknown array of internal mechanisms within SCP-XXX-1, and there are insufficient spare parts to construct a second functional model. All that is known is that the output can theoretically be "aimed" to a small degree, creating a concentrated energy field in a generalized area, and its total power and range of effect can be increased. The controls do not allow for fine-tuning of either variable.
At its base level of output, SCP-XXX is able to generate enough energy to power most electrically-powered devices requiring up to approximately ██-volts that is brought within its reaction chamber. The field created is able to permeate electromagnetic insulation but has a definitive outer perimeter at which it ends, and it has no apparent affect on living creatures. The field also acts as a "shield" around SCP-XXX-1, resisting both physical contact and high-energy intervention; thus far directed heat, lasers, X-Rays and radio wave transmissions have been unable to penetrate the outer shell. While typically stable, SCP-XXX-1 has shown a tendency to infrequently spike its power output; it is not currently known whether this is an innate complication with its method of energy generation or if SCP-XXX-1 is somehow damaged in an as-yet undetectable way. These fluctuations can typically be brought under control by SCP-XXX-2.
During periods of fluctuation, or if SCP-XXX-2 is used to alter the device's output to a level between 100% and 500% of base levels (dubbed "active" states), a variety of effects are observed within the reaction chamber: the energy produced is sufficient to provide power to most man-made electrical devices; metallic objects apart from SCP-XXX-1 begin to shine regardless of their normal luster; digital recording and radio transmission devices encounter heavy distortion; and the air is described as "vibrating" by D-class personnel, even when in environmentally sealed suits. Power emissions are prone to an approximately 84% greater likelihood of fluctuation than when at base levels.
Beyond 500% of base (maximum attainable levels are estimated at ████% of base parameters) the output is classified as "unstable". Directing the flow of energy is impractically difficult to control, and the affected range fluctuates uncontrollably almost constantly; devices as far as █ km from SCP-XXX-1 have recorded power spikes during testing. Unshielded electrical devices within the reaction chamber will typically overload, and even non-electric mechanisms (such as combustion engines) will begin operation despite a lack of fuel. Metallic objects will be pushed away from one another; while seeming to be a result of magnetic activity, this effect also occurs with non-ferrous metals that are not typically affected. Finally, living organic beings that are in the chamber when SCP-XXX-1 is emitting beyond ███% of base levels experience [DATA EXPUNGED]. While not always initially fatal, this process leads to severe brain damage in virtually all cases. Non-living organic matter appears to not be directly affected.
Despite being able to increase the output of SCP-XXX-1, Foundation agents have not yet been successful in finding a way to be able to shut the device down completely. Its base levels are the most easily managed and SCP-XXX-1 is to be returned to such a state immediately upon completion of any experiment.
NOTICE: In light of Incidents XXX-2 and XXX-5, any test wherein the power output of SCP-XXX-1 is to be intentionally raised above the semi-stable 500% threshold requires prior approval from at least two level 4 advisers. Any personnel found deliberately circumventing this protocol, or allowing it through lack of procedure, shall face strict repercussions.
Addendum XXX-1: Incident Report XXX-2
Date of incident: ██/██/20██
An experiment was conducted by Doctor B████ wherein multiple generators were installed within SCP-XXX's reaction chamber; these would be run by SCP-XXX at a level of 250% base capacity and would be connected to Site ██'s power grid. Despite continuous monitoring, approximately 2 hours into the test, SCP-XXX-1's output spiked to 900% of base capacity without input from the control panel. It took the attending technicians five minutes to be able to reduce the power levels, during which time 52% of electrical equipment at Site ██ suffered varying degrees of damage whether connected to the grid or not.
Addendum XXX-2: Administrative notice dated ██/██/████
TO: All personnel of Site ██
Re: Power needs
People, we've tried. I know, I know, SCP-XXX is literally a big ball of free energy. But we can't keep it under control. Every time we try to crank the juice up enough harness it for anything more than flashlights or a camera, the thing goes haywire. The last time it happened it fried half the complex; fortunately it was just after the twice-monthly backups. This is why it's designated as an SCP object, because we don't understand the fundamentals of it and we're trying to just figure out how it works.
You will of course forgive the casual tone of this memo. I'm simply sick of having one to three notices a month saying how we should 'plug it in'. Other researchers have already given it a whirl. Until such time as someone can present a plan that has technical merit, all attempts to directly link SCP-XXX to the electrical grid are prohibited and requests for such shall be summarily ignored.
- Dr. ███████████, Site Director
Addendum XXX-3: LEVEL FOUR SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED TO ACCESS (will be collapsed in final writeup)
The facility that is now Site ██ was brought to Foundation attention following research into studies being conducted by Professor █████ ███████ at his private organization's laboratory, compound located outside █████████, Germany. Numerous radical ideas were being reported and Professor ███████ was under consideration for Foundation employ; specifically, the facility in question was trying to harness what their researchers dubbed the "God Wave" in lieu of a technical designation, a background radiation or effect that appears to permeate the entire universe. No other device besides SCP-XXX is known to be able to detect, let alone interact with, this so-called "God Wave"; Foundation researchers have been attempting to correlate retrieved data with other models of theoretical physics.
The compound was in a similarly abandoned state as what is now Site ██. Most computer equipment and virtually all paperwork had been removed from the site after an incident at a location in [REDACTED] that was apparently equipped similarly to Site ██; later Foundation experiments point to a loss of control similar to Incident XXX-2 and XXX-5. All that is known is that the device at this second facility (listed as ORG-1) suffered a catastrophic failure and destroyed the entire facility, collapsing the underground structures that covered approximately three square miles, and being recorded as a 7.2 earthquake that caused serious damage to the surrounding areas.
From what scraps were recovered from this apparent headquarters, it is believed that only the failed construct and SCP-XXX had been fully assembled and activated; however maps exist which point to a potential total of ██ ORG units. Multiple task forces were organized to search the known locations; all were similarly abandoned before the devices could be completed, many before the full facility could be constructed. Due to ongoing international issues, █ facilities remain unchecked. How Prof. ███████ secured the funds and manpower for an operation of this size without drawing attention is under investigation.
Most troublesome is a portion of research data recovered; apparently the ORG units were initially designed as a way to bring "free energy to the world". SCP-XXX's reaction chamber features a short channel, dug 15 meters wide and 30 meters vertically, like a chimney. It is believed that this would have eventually been extended to breach the surface and fitted with conductive materials, acting as a channel to be able to - in conjunction with the other units - distribute the energy in a blanket fashion over the entire planet. The project was abandoned after the incident at [REDACTED], confirming fears that not only were the ORG units unstable, they could theoretically be utilized as weapons, either by directing excessive energy into a singular location or by being intentionally overloaded and used as a bomb.
Finally, plans call for a secondary control panel; no such device exists within Site ██ and there are insufficient plans to be able to construct one. It is believed that this device would allow not only far greater precision in control of SCP-XXX-1's output, but also enable full shut down and restart of the device at will. It is believed that this second panel, dubbed SCP-XXX-3, was removed from the facility at the time of its abandonment, and recovery of it or an identical piece is priority one for MTFs searching other locations.

Item #: SCP-XXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: All currently identified and captured specimens of SCP-XXX are to be held at Biological Research Site 28, located in ████████████, Australia. Given current space limitations and the species' extreme isolationism, no more than ██ individual members of the species can be contained at any given time; excess specimens discovered in the wild are to be terminated and disposed of if capacity is at or near 90%.
Due to the species' unique eating habits, one (1) D-class personnel is to be supplied for each individual in captivity no less frequently than once every two months. D-class personnel selected for this program may be exempted from monthly terminations for up to three (3) feeding cycles.
Description: SCP-XXX is the designation given to a species of unknown taxonomy, native to the Australian Outback. Outwardly, individuals of SCP-XXX have a primate-like body structure featuring two arms and two legs with opposable digits upon each extremity. Skin tone is a pale red with sparse bodily hair a deeper shade of red. Typically, SCP-XXX stand between 1 and 1.3 meters in height if not slouched. The head of a member of SCP-XXX is typically almost as wide as the torso with an overly broad, toothless mouth and bulbous eyes ranging from yellow to bright green; combined with an equally engorged neck gives it an appearance typically described as "toad-like".
Additionally, the fingers are disproportionately long compared to most primate species, approximately 70% the length of the arms, and are either multi-jointed or completely boneless; it is currently unknown why different members of the species have such different skeletal structures in only a single area.
The most unusual aspect of SCP-XXX is its feeding and reproductive habits, which are merged. Rather than actively hunt, an individual will hide itself within the branches of a fig tree, often times going into a state of semi-aware hibernation for months at a time. When a human being comes to rest beneath the tree, SCP-XXX will reach down and grasp it with its elongated fingers, which feature several rows of sucking orifices; using these it will drain its victim of between 1 and 3 liters of blood. After this initial attack, which typically renders its victim either unconscious or too weak to move, SCP-XXX will retreat into the tree, leaving its victim on the ground for up to one hour. Following this period of rest, it will emerge fully from the tree and swallow its prey hole, typically drinking from a nearby water source if possible.
Approximately one-and-a-half to two hours after swallowing, SCP-XXX will regurgitate its prey and again retreat into its habitat. The victim will remain unconscious for as long as six hours and severely disoriented for up to █ days afterwards. Additionally, individuals tend to be shorter, and begin developing a red skin tone as well as growth of red body hair. Repeated exposure will increase these and introduce new physiological effects; after about 8 to 10 feedings, an individual will be completely converted into a new member of SCP-XXX. Given the fact that members of SCP-XXX display no remaining genitalia or dimorphic sexual characteristics of any sort, it appears that they are not able to truly reproduce and only propagate new individuals of their species through this conversion process.
It is the current hypothesis that the species has reached its current population by repeatedly preying upon individuals lost within a territory; as their preferred habitat tends to occur in oases and small forests in an otherwise inhospitable region, it is likely that a human lost in the area would be subject to attacks from multiple individuals of SCP-XXX before escaping an infested area.
To date, SCP-XXX have not been seen to feed on any creature besides humans, nor will they consume blood that has already been extracted. Additionally, the digestive system is vastly simplified compared to most creatures of its size, with tubes from its fingers leading to a series of "minor stomachs"; the structure which the esophagus leads to is more akin to a womb than a normal digestive stomach, and secretes a number of previously undiscovered biological compounds. As SCP-XXX does not produce waste substances they have no expelling orifices.
Due to the reclusive nature of SCP-XXX and the sparse habitation of its natural habitat, it is not known whether this is a somehow naturally evolved subspecies or the result of mutation from some external force. Analysis of sampled materials indicates known subjects to retain the majority of their human genetic structure, but with the addition of [DATA EXPUNGED] Testing has shown signs that this is a similar distortion to [REDACTED] which was previously discovered in several remote villages within the Asian mainland continent and thought to be a side-effect of exposure to defoliants and chemical weapons which have been in use in the area for several decades. Several task forces have been dispatched to determine whether partially-transmuted individuals have been able to pass on their mutation through breeding, or if instances of SCP-XXX have somehow been introduced to the area; steadily increasing missing person reports within outlaying areas of ██████████ over the past ██ years have deemed it the most likely source of infestation, should it occur.
Addendum XXX-1: It is not known why SCP-XXX prefer fig trees; they do not eat the fruit or any other portion of the plant, nor do they develop any form of nest. It is believed that the species has developed some form of camouflage or similar ability that only functions within fig trees: this theory is currently under investigation. If an individual SCP-XXX is removed from its current habitat (or if it is destroyed,) it is able to locate the nearest fig tree through an apparently instinctive sense. If the tree is occupied by another member of SCP-XXX, or if two members meet on a path to the same tree, they will violently fight until one or the other is driven off. It should be noted that this is the only time SCP-XXX have been observed to vocalize, making deep, reverberating groaning noises.
If instances of SCP-XXX are confirmed to be wild within the Asian mainland or elsewhere, Dr. B████ has requested a temporary upgrade to Keter status due to their instinctive homing tendencies putting them at far greater risk of exposure to civilian populations than in their native habitat. Task force Iota-44 ("Walkabouts") are currently assigned to searching for instances within Australia, but are to be transferred to confirmed mainland habitation zones to establish containment as priority one.

appearing in the ███████ metropolitan area, South African Republic. |
Item #: SCP-XXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXX is currently contained at Research Station ███, South Africa. A three (3) meter high electrified fence surrounds the compound and is to remain powered at all times. Double-redundant generators have been installed to ensure constant charge.
Individuals to whom SCP-XXX becomes attuned are to remain on station for the duration of the phenomena.
Description: SCP-XXX is an entity of uncertain origin. It has the rough appearance of an adult African male, and is typically clothed in a black leather trench-coat and bowler hat. The entity also features a pale mask with oversized ears and limited facial features, including lack of a distinct nose and a partially opened mouth. Nothing can be seen through the eye, mouth or nostril openings; it has the appearance of dark, empty space, though it does not have the typical indications of a dark cloth commonly used to give such an illusion.
SCP-XXX is always seen holding at least one weapon, or weaponized tool; to date it has been recorded holding axes, knives, crowbars, hammers, sledgehammers, chisels and picks; it has not yet been determined how SCP-XXX is able to attain these implements even while in containment.
SCP-XXX is effectively invisible to human beings that do not have a heredity that can be traced back to the [REDACTED] tribes greater than ██%. It cannot be picked up on video surveillance or digital photography, but there is a roughly 75% chance that analog photography with a shutter speed between 1/15s and 1/30s will capture its image. To date, SCP-XXX has not shown any attempt to communicate with personnel outside of its standard judgmental behaviors and does not react to any form of observation or unsuccessful attempt to interfere with its actions. SCP-XXX has never been recorded making any noises except at the end of an attunement cycle (see below.)
The entity has shown an ability to "attune" to a single individual. Once this attunement cycle begins, SCP-XXX will actively follow, observe, and apparently "judge" the individual for an indeterminate amount of time. It is believed that this judgement is limited only to actions taken to directly harm or aid another human being: if at the end of the attunement cycle SCP-XXX has determined that the individual has directly aided more than harmed, it will declare "Hord", and leave to its next attuned target; if instead it determines that the individual has harmed more than helped, it will declare "Kalet" and begin attacking the individual with whatever implement it currently carries. This attack will continue until it has delivered a roughly equivalent degree of injury as it has observed, continuing to attack beyond the target's death if need be.
SCP-XXX will always attune itself to one individual at a time and follow this person; no upward limit to its speed has yet been ascertained, and the entity has proven to be intangible at all times when not directly interacting with a physical object or individual and thus can pass through any object or barrier. It has, however, been shown to not be able or willing to pass through electrified materials, the discovery of which prompted the installation of the electric fence at Research Station ███. Furthermore, while it apparently picks its new target at random, the maximum range it has been found to attune to a new target is 0.██ km; due to Research Station ███'s remote location while relative proximity to its area of discovery, the site proved ideal for containment of the entity.
Addendum XXX-1: Attunement Procedure XXX-03
Should a Foundation employee be confirmed to have SCP-XXX attuned to them, they are required to immediately fill out Form 2V-4016; this will relieve them from any current duties which would consciously bring harm to another individual until the end of this attunement. Should SCP-XXX attune to any on-site D-class personnel, they are to be separated from the general D-class population and used only for testing with a low likelihood of directly inflicted fatality. In light of Incident XXX-04, required monthly termination for the D-class subject will be postponed until the end of the attunement cycle.
ADDENDUM XXX-2: Incident XXX-04
On 04/30/20██, SCP-XXX was attuned to subject D-14375 at the time that he was scheduled for the monthly D-class termination, overseen by Agent ███████. As soon as D-14375 expired, SCP-XXX ran directly through the wall between the termination chamber and the control room, declared "Hishka", and proceeded to assault Agent ███████ with the hand-axe it was carrying. Agent ███████ was able to fire upon it with his sidearm before succumbing to his injuries, and SCP-XXX was seen to have suffered serious injury to the left arm and shoulder. After the attack finished, SCP-XXX fled the scene and was not reported seen by staff capable of perceiving it for two days, at which point it was following Researcher ████ and showed no indication of prior injuries.
The next time SCP-XXX attuned to a D-class subject, D-14403, a second D-class subject was given orders to kill D-14403. Events identical to the above occurred and proved that SCP-XXX has a protective instinct regarding its chosen target, and Attunement Procedure XXX-03 was updated accordingly.

SCP-1234, folded for storage |
Item #: SCP-1234
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1234 is to be kept folded in a locked box measuring 70 cm by 20 cm by 15 cm and stored in a secure locker at Site-██ when not being used for experimentation. Due to possible security threats from previous experiments, all further experimentation proposals must be approved by at least one personnel with clearance of level 3 or higher.
Description: SCP-1234 appears to be an ordinary Razor brand scooter, slightly worn from use. Wheels and handlebar grips are a standard green color. Its anomalous properties are not apparent unless the level of the handlebars is adjusted with at least one foot on the deck of the scooter. Adjusting the level without feet placed on the scooter will trigger no effect. When the level is adjusted, subject's physical appearance will change, while also gaining or losing height. This process takes approximately two (2) minutes from handlebar adjustment to completion of transformation. The results of the transformation often bear no resemblance to subject's original appearance, aside from gender remaining unchanged. However, as discovered during testing, subject transforms into a replica of a person who recently died in the general area, including clothes and identification that were worn in the period before death.
See Experiment log 1234 for more detailed observations.
The handlebar tube has nine grooves, with the center groove deeper than the others. When in use, the adjusting mechanism will always slide to the nearest groove before locking. When not in use, the handlebar position will not lock unless placed at center height. SCP-1234 can be damaged, but seems to be immune to any damage caused by its own effects. Due to the largely negative effects of adjusting the handlebars more than two grooves at a time, it is recommended that handlebars only be adjusted up or down one groove.
Object recovered from the city of █████████████, ██ after a string of petty thefts involving a person on a scooter seemingly vanishing after escape with a different person appearing on the scooter when discovered. Object found in an alley at █th Street at its lowest height adjustment by a Foundation agent in the area investigating a supposed sighting of SCP-███. The rider was seemingly [DATA EXPUNGED]. Minor damage to the area was reported. No coverup was needed, as there were no witnesses aside from Foundation personnel. Repairs were done to the buildings.
Experiment log 1234:
Test 1 A/B
Subjects: D-3892, D-2234
Purpose: Determine methods of function
Result A: Subject D-3892 ordered to hold the handlebars of SCP-1234 with one hand with neither foot on the deck of the object and adjust the level upwards by one click, no effect recorded. Subject ordered to place one foot on the deck of the object and adjust the level upwards by one click. Subject's appearance begins to change, gains approximately 5 cm in height. Subject describes very uncomfortable stretching pain during this growth and "disturbing" crawling sensation in skin. Subject's mass was noted to remain constant despite the apparent extra weight.
Result B: Experiment was repeated with Subject D-2234, with one foot on the deck and adjusting the level one click downward. Result similar to Test 1A, however subject lost approximately 5 cm in height and described a crushing pain. No change in mass recorded despite apparent loss in weight.
Test 2 A/B
Subjects: D-3892, D-2234
Purpose: Testing reversal of transformation.
Results: Subjects ordered to place one foot on deck of SCP-1234 after Test 1 and readjust position of handlebars back to center position. In both tests, appearances of subjects returned to normal. Subjects stated that the levels of pain felt were equivalent to the levels when adjusting the handlebar the other direction.
Test 3 A/B
Subjects: D-5732, D-6609
Purpose: Testing prolonged effects of transformation when not in contact with SCP-1234.
Result A: Subject D-5732 ordered to adjust level of handlebars by one click, after transformation was removed from SCP-1234 and placed in isolation chamber for observation. No immediate effects noted. After approximately 12 hours, subject began to complain about feeling "wrongness". Approximately 48 hours after isolation, subject began to scream about his body attacking him from the inside out. After 60 hours, subject expired, cause of death determined to be from complications resulting from subject's immune system rejecting major organs.
Result B: Same test repeated with Subject D-6609, except after 12 hours, subject brought back to SCP-1234, ordered to adjust it back to regular level. Subject began reverse transformation. Process described as more painful than initial transformation, scarring consistent with subjects in the sixth test.
Test 4
Subject: D-7865
Purpose: Testing for differences in effect if two feet are placed on scooter instead of one foot.
Note: Due to balance issues of having two feet on a scooter and none on the ground, SCP-1234 was secured in an upright position for the duration of this experiment.
Result: Subject D-7865 ordered to place both feet on deck of SCP-1234 and adjust the handlebars by one click. Transformation was noted to be significantly faster and more painful than before, taking approximately one minute fifteen seconds instead of two minutes. No other effects were observed.
Strange. The transformed D-7865 looked exactly like D-5732. This requires further experimentation. - Dr. ███
Test 5
Subject: D-0218
Purpose: Testing DNA of transformations.
Result: Subject D-0218 ordered to place one foot on deck of SCP-1234 and adjust the handlebars upwards by one click. DNA sample taken from transformed subject. DNA results sent for processing while further experimentation is continued.
Test 6 A/B
Subjects: D-3892, D-2234
Purpose: Determine results of repeated transformation and reversal cycles on subjects.
Result A: Subject D-3892 ordered to remain with one foot on the deck of SCP-1234 while adjusting the height of the handlebars every ten minutes. After two complete transform and reverse cycles, subject's skin began to scar and subject expressed displeasure due to increasing pain. Subject ordered to continue. After five cycles, subject stopped, and was again ordered by Dr. ███ to continue. Subject refused and attempted to charge Dr. ███ using SCP-1234 as a weapon. Subject D-3892 was quickly terminated by security personnel.
Note: After the results of Test 6 A, SCP-1234 was secured to the testing floor for each subsequent test.
Result B: Subject D-2234 was given the same orders as Subject D-3892, except adjusting the handlebars every twenty minutes. Only after seven cycles did subject begin to scar and express extreme pain. Subject continued until after twenty cycles, when subject collapsed. Scar tissue was noted to be highly dense.
Test 7
Subject: D-0218
Purpose: Adjusting two clicks at once
Result: Subject D-0218 ordered to place one foot on the deck of SCP-1234 and adjust the handlebars by two clicks at once. Subject immediately began screaming about the pain as subject's body extended by approximately 15 cm. Flesh tore open, exposing the muscle below, which was quickly covered by hard scar tissue. Transformation noted to take approximately three minutes.
Test 8
Subject: D-1914
Purpose: Adjusting three clicks at once
Result: Subject D-1914 ordered to place one foot on the deck of SCP-1234 and adjust the handlebars by three clicks at once. Subject screamed as torso was ripped apart from the force involved in the transformation, propelling flesh and muscle around the testing area. Subject still alive after transformation, but lapsed into unconsciousness and expired within an hour.
After this test, it is probably best that we not attempt four clicks at once. Due to unusual results just uncovered from Test 5, DNA-related testing shall be the focus of further experiments. - Dr. ███
Test 9
Subject: D-3219
Purpose: Determining DNA…
Note: Results of DNA test for transformed subject in Test 5 returned a positive match for Researcher ██████, who was killed during an escape of SCP-███ on 02/13/20██, three days before the test took place.
Result: [DATA EXPUNGED]

Four members of SCP-XXX |
Item #: SCP-XXX
Object Class: Euclid (Keter classification pending approval)
Special Containment Procedures: The current known extent of SCP-XXX's habitat, as well as no less than a five (5) kilometer radius of land from the estimated center, is to be owned by Foundation front companies and observed at all times. A steel mesh fence concrete wall at least 2 3 meters high is to be constructed around the perimeter, and integrated ultrasonic motion detectors are to be placed at 20 meter intervals to monitor for breaches.
At least once per week, during a period of inactivity, at least ten (10) items not previously encountered by members of SCP-XXX are to be introduced into their habitat, as close to the center as feasible. For a list of items already encountered by SCP-XXX, please see document XXX-4071a.
Should individual members of SCP-XXX be observed leaving the containment area, a general alarm is to be sounded and MTF Chi-41 (Ghost Watchers) is to be brought on station to return the individuals to their habitat. Should containment not be possible, observational command is to be notified and currently allocated areas are to be adjusted accordingly.
Description: SCP-XXX is the group designation for an anomalous, sapient species, native to a roughly 6 square kilometer area of [REDACTED] known to be heavily forested and sparsely populated. The species shows a unique ability to refract electromagnetic radiation around their forms; this is most easily identifiable in the fact that light "bends" around them, rendering them somewhat transparent or reflective depending on angles, but the refraction extends to all currently tested wavelengths of the spectrum.
A side-effect of this anomaly is that individuals are able to seemingly "appear" or "disappear" when not directly in view. Members of SCP-XXX are not believed to be able to teleport or in any other way shift themselves; they are simply extremely stealthy by nature and are able to utilize their anomalous properties in evasive ways. Primarily, they have utilized such tactics to interfere with any attempts to retrieve specimens, ambushing groups attempting to capture one alive and swiftly removing any of their kind that are injured or otherwise incapacitated.
Individuals of SCP-XXX are humanoid in shape, averaging between 2.7 and 3.2 meters in height. Additionally, the distortion effect that surrounds them makes individuals appear to be between 1 and 1.5 centimeters thick; remote ultrasound imaging has confirmed that the actual physical body is less than 1 micrometer thick. Despite this, individuals have shown a level of physical strength and dexterity roughly equivalent to an average human, save for an ability to shear objects at a near-molecular level. It is estimated that the tips of their extremities are narrowed to within a few dozen nanometers and are extremely durable, allowing for this level of sharpness and precision.
Typically, members of SCP-XXX are not hostile unless provoked, instead showing an inquisitive nature, groups gathering around any type of object that is new to their habitat and studying it thoroughly; this includes, eventually, cutting the object into successively smaller pieces, even if it is biological in nature. While they appear to lose interest in specific objects within three to four days and will largely ignore repetitive stimulus, similar objects that are sufficiently unique will attract their attention anew; for instance, after growing accustomed to Douglas-fir trees (Pseudotsuga) they still showed interest in both Cedar (Cedrus) and Pine (Pinus) species. It is believed that this inquisitive nature is the driving force behind SCP-XXX's instincts, as no member of the species has been observed attempting to leave an inhabited area until all new forms of objects have been thoroughly examined.
Despite the fact that no light or other electromagnetic waves should be able to permeate their refractive nature, SCP-XXX are observed to be "looking" at objects, using a form of sensory adaptation we have not been able to detect or duplicate. Similarly, members of SCP-XXX have never been observed to make any sort of vocalization, but apparently are able to communicate with one another.
To date, SCP-XXX have not been observed to perform any sort of construction or assembly; it is not known whether they do not have the intelligence or desire for such activities, or if they have somehow been able to hide their constructs. Given the fact that individuals have been described as "disappearing" even when under direct observation, this has lead to great difficulty in tracking them to any type of central nest or housing area.
Addendum: Incident XXX-1
On 08/17/████, a group of D-class subjects under observation by Researcher Grant were introducing new stimulus into the SCP-XXX habitat, which at that time was contained in a steel mesh fence and was just below two kilometers on a side. Incident XXX-1 was the first time that SCP-XXX was observed to have any sort of large-scale hostility. What follows is an interview conducted by one of the few survivors.

Interview Log XXX-12
Interviewer: Dr. Kennar
Interviewee: Agent B███ F███████
Date/Time: 08/18/████, 13:45
Dr. Kennar: Let's begin. For the record, please state your full name and position at the time of the incident.
Agent F███████: Yes, sir. I'm B███ F███████, level 3 Security Agent, member of MTF Chi-41. On the date in question I was acting as observation and aerial marksman.
Dr. K: Thank you, but you don't have to call me sir, I never was part of any military structure. Please describe the events that lead up to the security breach as best you can.
Agent F: Of course. Grant and the D's had headed into the fenced-off zone, delivering the weekly batch of stuff to keep them occupied. Drop-off went well and they were heading out when one of the D's spotted one of the fracs digging at the fence.
Dr. K: I'm sorry, "fracs"?
Agent F: Oh, sorry, it's a nickname someone came up with for XXX, kinda shortened down "refracted". Jim always thought we should call them "reefers", but he got voted down.
Dr. K: I… See. Continue, please.
Agent F: Well, the D sees this thing poking around like I said, and all of a sudden starts yelling at it, told it to get away from the fence. I heard over the radio that they were telling him to back off, but when the frac didn't back away he chucked a rock at its head. Pretty good aim, actually knocked it over. That's when all hell broke loose. I don't think anyone told these guys just how sharp the fracs' claws are, or how fast they run.
Dr. K: I was not aware that they had any anomalous properties regarding their speed.
Agent F: I don't know if you'd call it 'anomalous', they're just fast. Like, they could lap an Olympic racer. Point is, I don't think the guy even saw the one that ran up on him before he was torn apart. Grant and two of the other D's booked it for the gate, one of them turned to try and help his buddy I guess. He lasted about three seconds.
Dr. K: This was when the firefight started?
Agent F: Yeah. The group made it through the gate and it got closed, but the fracs just started to tear through it like paper. Someone shouted 'fire', I really can't say it was anyone with authority what with all the comm chatter. A couple of them dropped, but… Christ. It was like they were just hiding and waiting, there must have been two dozen of the things that came charging out of the tree-line. I think I took a couple of them down, but then they were at the fence, and then people started dying.
Dr. K: What is your assessment of their combat prowess, Agent?
Agent F: Frankly, I don't think they have much of it. They don't seem built for combat, they're… Explorers, investigators. If these things were on a wide-open plain with plenty of time to see them coming, this never would have happened. It's the fact that, where they are, they can duck in and out of cover, seem like just a trick of the light. And if they decide they want you dead, and they get right on top of you, unless you get in a good, quick, debilitating shot, you're dead. They also have some good stamina; one jeep got away, made it a few clicks before they stopped to get their bearings, probably figured they lost 'em. I hear that all that was found was a few few chunks of shredded metal and bits of meat.
Dr. K: That is a somewhat accurate statement. That should be all, Agent, unless you have anything else to add to the official record?
Agent F: Just one. I was talking to █████, he was doing the observation run this morning. He says he saw a few wandering the forest. Those things never once tried to even get past the fence before now, and suddenly they're spreading? I think… I think these things will only stick to the territory they've already explored, but when they started chasing people through the woods in a rage, that territory expanded. We need to move the perimeter out. And we need to make it tougher.

Taking the above interview and further investigation of the patterns of SCP-XXX's behavior, it was confirmed that their assumed territory had expanded to the currently held ranges. Containment procedures were upgraded, and in light of their potential threat, Doctor Kennar put forth an official request to upgrade SCP-XXX to Keter status.
Item #: SCP-###
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-### is to be contained at all times in a chamber 100m below surface level and measuring 4m x 4m x 3m, lined with insulated ceramic tiles and coolant systems rated to withstand heat of no less than 850°C. Surveilance video cameras are installed within heat-resistant transparent domes, fed directly to the adjoining observation room. Access is provided by an extended elevator shaft connected to the observation room. This room is to be connected to the main holding chamber by a double-seal air lock, and all personnel interacting with SCP-### are to wear level 3 heat-resistant hazardous material protective suits at all times.
As SCP-### has no nutritional nor metabolic needs, neither food nor regulated air supply within the chamber are required beyond temperature control. In the case of a containment breach, thermal sensors in the observation room and elevator shaft, as well as manual triggers located within the observation room, elevator cart and egress site, are able to release a stored supply of 100 kiloliters of water, flooding the lower section of the elevator shaft as well as the observation and containment chamber.
Description: SCP-### is a mobile, sapient mass of alkali basalt melt material, human in shape and standing 2.4m in height. SCP-### has no discernable sensory organs such as eyes or ears, but is aware of its surroundings; similarly it has no means of verbal communication, but uses a combination of hand signs and head-movements to convey meaning and intent. Each hand has five digits that are relatively thick compared to the average human without affecting dexterity, and its facial structure is analagous to a human's complete with opening mouth; the mouth does not connect to any sort of digestive system, nor does it have separate dental structures or tongue. SCP-###'s total mass is variable as large quantities of its constituent materials are able to be removed or absorbed with no visible harm or discomfort, with a maximum noted mass of 412kg. The surface temperature fluctuates between 720° and 775°C, with a core temperature of ████°C; how these temperatures are maintained is not currently known. Finally, SCP-### has also shown an ability to exert a force of at least 25 kilonewtons, but a maximum speed of only 1 km/h with individual limbs not exceeding 40 cm/s.
SCP-### was first encountered in [REDACTED], Hawaii, residing within an intermitently active volcanic crater. An expedition for the US Geological Survey discovered the being walking across a partially cooled lava flow, at which point it was noted to be waving in an apparently friendly gesture to the scientific team. Following standard communication protocol, the Foundation was advised of the situation by government agents and was able to confront and isolate SCP-### locally before specialized containment and transport were prepared; at all times the entity has proven to be cooperative and amiable to all humans with which it has interacted, and has only proven to show any hostility when it feels directly threatened without an explanation being given. SCP-### has also proven to understand English, most Polynesian languages, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin only), German, French and Ukranian.
Addendum: SCP-### has shown increasingly frequent attempts to gain the attention of observational personnel when left alone for extended periods. It is believed to be suffering from social withdrawl despite its apparent willingness to remain in captivity and participate in testing. While its temperature, weight and strength
Item #: SCP-1447
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: All current cultures of SCP-1447 are to be kept in cold storage at Bio-Research Site 09. Testing with, or propogation of additional cultures of, SCP-1447 require authorization from on-site administration. Subjects innoculated with SCP-1447 are to remain in quarantined isolation for the duration of testing unless specifically authorized as part of individual testing protocols.
Description: SCP-1447 is a "universal vaccine", a combination of over ███ different strains of microbial agents suspended in a glucose solution. The species of bacteria and virii present in the solution are not believed to be related to any known strains, and show signs of significant biological engineering; as such it is the Foundation's working hypothesis that they are completely artificial species. SCP-1447 is able to propogate additional quantities of itself by adding at least 0.2ml of active solution into a solution of at least ██% sugar dissolved into water; the microbial agents are apparently able to metabolise the sugars directly and multiply rather than requiring external host bodies. SCP-1447 will multiply within the solution until it reaches a homogenous state, at which point the microbial agents will go dormant until injected into a host, or added to additional solution.
Once injected into a living human being (henceforth referred to as "subject"), SCP-1447 will quickly disseminate throughout the subject's bloodstream. Within one hour of injection the subject, even if terminally ill, shows marked improvement; previously incurable diseases have been fully treated within 24 hours. Rather than strengthen the subject's own immune system, as is typical for a vaccine, SCP-1447 works alongside the host's cells in eradicating foreign organisms. It is not currently known how SCP-1447 is able to determine which cells are native to its host and which are considered foreign. For a period of one to four days after initial injection, the subject will also show an increased healing rate, with wounds or side-effects of infections healing between 30% and 50% faster than typical for the subject.
Within one week of initial injection, SCP-1447 will begin to suppress the host's immune system and act in its stead. Unlike a natural immune system, SCP-1447 is not able to adapt to any foreign influences not present at the time of injection or introduced during the initial cooperative period; it can cure a subject of any current infections but leaves them without any way to overcome future infections. Similarly, SCP-1447 has a noticeably hostile reaction to any form of medicinal treatment provided to the subject; any consumed medicines are expelled, while injected solutions are reacted to as if viral infections, typically causing itching or burning sensations as well as rashes, discoloration and in some cases blisters or other blemishes.
As SCP-1447 apparently bases its behavior off of the subject's natural immune system, any present immunological issues such as allergies become grossly exaggerated. As an example, pollinosis (commonly, "hay fever") would typically produce minor irritation and inflammation of the sinus cavities, but after exposure to SCP-1447 will lead to complete closure of all breathing passages, requiring immediate tracheal intubation to prevent death.
SCP-1447's final anomalous property only manifests in subjects who survive for approximately two months after initial injection. Subjects who enter this final stage become acutely aware of any internal bodily condition, regardless of the body's normal ability to sense such complications. Recorded issues have included: pinpointing an ulcer in the large intestine to within two inches; realization of a burgeoning staph infection before any visual or physical symptoms manifested; the exact rate of healing for a broken bone; and the progression of decay caused by gingivitis. It is not known how or why SCP-1447 enacts these effects, as EKG and MRI scans of afflicted subjects have proven inconclusive.
Addendum:SCP-1447 was initially recovered in [REDACTED] research laboratory, following investigations claiming the discovery of a "true panacea". The claims were already derided as a hoax by the medical community at large, thus minimal Foundation action was required. Upon recovery, it was discovered that SCP-1447 was not developed by the [REDACTED] labs, but rather was being tested and refined; five cases bearing the logo of Prometheus Labs were recovered, along with partially destroyed paperwork indicating dosage suggestions and the instructions to propagate additional cultures.
[REDACTED] labs was also in apparent communication with an additional organization performing tests upon a different formula of SCP-1447. This formula had the apparent ability to correct for any innate physical impairment (weak eyesight, damaged hearing, poor musculature, lack of intelligence due to cerebral anomalies, etc.) Research had been discontinued as it was discovered this formula would "aggressively normalize" the subjects, not only repairing such shortcomings but drastically handicapping any above-average physical or mental capabilities, typically bringing them well below the average. All such samples were apparently destroyed during an accident while testing; attempts to trace either shipment to the original Prometheus Labs have thus far been ineffective.
