Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard shipping container 60cm x 60cm x 90cm in dimensions.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be an ordinary speaker and microphone, bearing no manufacturing symbols or information besides the brand name "Gomorrah", which otherwise does not exist. Its internal structure and design aspects suggest that the object originated in the 1990s. Both, when used separately, act exactly as they would if they were a normal appliance. SCP-XXXX only activates when the microphone is plugged into the speaker and a user speaks into the microphone.
When a user speaks into the microphone, no sound is emitted from the speaker or the user for ten seconds. The user will be able to hear their own voice, but anyone around the user will not be able to hear them. After ten seconds of silence, the speaker and microphone will then activate. The user will hear whatever it is they say into the microphone come out of the speaker. However, all listeners other than the user will hear the user's most malicious fantasy. The reasons for this are unknown. When questioned, users of SCP-XXXX state that they could hear their own voice coming through the speaker just as they had spoken into the microphone.
The speaker quality of SCP-XXXX is of exceptionally high quality, as if the user was speaking directly to the listener. During the ten second moment of silence, there is no backdrop noise able to be heard. If a user breathes directly into the microphone, the speaker will continue its speech without any unpleasant breaks in the sound. SCP-XXXX replicates the user's sound just as any other speaker would, but it does not replicate tone of voice. When describing the user's malicious fantasies, SCP-XXXX uses a calm, though pleased tone. It speaks in this manner throughout whatever fantasy it describes.
If the user continues talking by the time the fantasy is over, the speaker remains silent for another 10 seconds before continuing to the user's most recent malicious thought. This continues by time of thought conceived.
