Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXX is to be kept in a Type-2 steel lock box located at Reliquary Research and Containment Site-76 when not under going active testing. Access to SCP-XXX is restricted to personal with a Level 2 clearance or above.
Description: SCP-XXX is a cast iron door knob measuring 6cm x 6cm by 5cm. Examination of the decorative patterns on SCP-XXX put its manufacture date between ████ and ████. Carbon dating verifies this timeframe. SCP-XXX maintains a constant surface temperature of 20° C.
When SCP-XXX is brought into physical contact with a person the subject immediately enters a catatonic state. This state lasts until the subject and SCP-XXX are removed from physical contact. Subjects report being transported to an antiquated bedroom, hereafter referred to as SCP-XXX-1. All attempts by test subjects to leave SCP-XXX-1 without outside assistance have been failures.
The contents of SCP-XXX-1 are a collection of objects common to the typical bedroom of the period, this period coincides with the period of SCP-XXX's construction. The inventory of objects (see Addendum XXX-01 for a complete list) is the same for all test subjects used. Changes made to the disposition of objects with in SCP-XXX-1 persist between test subjects.
