Special Containment Procedures: Containment Area 32b is to be located five hundred (500) meters below [REDACTED] with sole access to the facility is to be through a vertical elevator shaft reinforced with 20cm thick titanium. Shaft shall be in constant air-lock when not in use.
Containment Area 32b is to be constructed with the following components:
- An Outer Security Perimeter (OSP) against outside threats, staffed by highly trained security personnel.
- A Directive and Reinforcement Wing (DRW) consisting of the living quarters, offices and support areas for on-site personnel.
- A Main Containment Zone (MCZ) consisting of a seven (7) by seven (7) meter concrete cube lined with aggregated diamond nanorods. MCZ is to be voided of any atmosphere at all times. At least one (1) airlock entry and exit is to be present in the MCZ.
SCP-XXX itself is to be contained in a 0.5 cubic meter titanium-reinforced polycarbonate glass tank suspended in the MCZ. The room is to be
cooled at 223 Kelvin and is to be evacuated of any atmosphere. The room is to be lit at all times.
- A Secondary Containment Zone (SCZ) consisting of a 150 meter corridor which is to be the sole access from the SCZ to the DRW (including water, power and ventilation lines). It is to be constructed with the same materials as the MCZ, with the addition of an emergency super-cooler.
A security station located at the entrance to the SCZ is to be staffed with no fewer than four (4) armed security personnel on watch at any point in time. The viewing screen is to be reinforced with polycarbonate glass. Armament is to include, but not be limited to, at least six (6) large-caliber assault rifles equipped with under-barrel high-pressure salt water dispensers.
In the event of a full breach, all on-site staff are to proceed immediately to the closest security station for weapons and CBRN suit distribution. Staff will remain at Alert Condition Alpha until SCP-XXX is confirmed neutralized.
Description: SCP-XXX consists of three components: a "fog" (SCP-XXX-1), "anti-bodies" (SCP-XXX-2) and "macrophages" (SCP-XXX-3). SCP-XXX-2 and SCP-XXX-3 are both formed out of the "fog".
SCP-XXX-1 resembles a Dense Tule fog. Visibility within the fog ranges from 200 meters to 30 centimeters. (see Incident Report ███-A).
SCP-XXX-2 resemble antibodies. Their prime purpose is exactly what their name describes; they stun and disable their targets, in this case humans. Test subjects exposed to SCP-XXX-2 report long-term paresthesia before [REDACTED]. Subjects also report similarities to "flying jellyfish".(see Incident Report ███-B).
SCP-XXX-3 resemble macrophages. Their prime purpose is exactly what their name describes; they perform phagocytosis, or engulf pathogens, then digest them, in this case humans. If the entity in question keeps in part with "regular" macrophages, it stimulates lymphocytes and other immune cells to respond to pathogens; in this case, leading to the expansion of SCP-XXX-1 and creation and recreation of SCP-XXX-2 and -3. Subjects report macrophages to take form of faceless human beings with milky white skin. (see Incident Report ███-B).
