SCP Drafts- Current
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the location and incorporeal nature of SCP-XXXX, containment is not feasible at the moment. Foundation Probe Delta-Iota (officially listed as the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter) is tasked with the observation of the current instance of SCP-XXXX-2 (officially listed as the defunct Mars Global Surveyor). Foundation agents embedded within all national and private space agencies capable of reaching the location of SCP-XXXX-1 are instructed to hinder/halt any missions which could potentially reach SCP-XXXX-1, with sabotage authorised if necessary.
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a gravitational anomaly located approximately ███ km above the surface of Mars. The anomaly appears to bend light slightly, and when any unmanned probe passes within ██ km of SCP-XXXX-1, it and the probe in question will exhibit [REDACTED], which has a 95% chance of creating an instance of SCP-XXXX-2, which will orbit SCP-XXXX-1 at a distance of █ km.
SCP-XXXX-2 will proceed to undergo a rapid transformation, which will result in multiple booms carrying large antennas extending out of the main antenna, domes with highly advanced cameras, and approximately six (6) small pods which regularly eject from SCP-XXXX-2, orbit SCP-XXXX-2 for █ minutes, and re-dock to SCP-XXXX-2.
SCP-XXXX-2 will operate in a manner similar to that of a military reconnaissance satellite, taking photographs with a resolution of ██ cm, and SCP-XXXX-2 will send data back to the ███████ Radio Telescope (now Site-93). After 20 years of operation, SCP-XXXX-2 will move into SCP-XXXX-1, and will disappear. The location of instances of SCP-XXXX-2 after this has happened is currently unknown.
SCP-XXXX-1 was discovered on ██/██/93 when the Mars Observer space probe was lost 3 days before its scheduled orbital insertion manoeuvre. Contact was re-established 3 days later, with several anomalous properties present, including the orbiting of SCP-XXXX-2 around SCP-XXXX-1, and one (1) status report (See Addendum-XXXX-1).
Addendum-XXXX-1: List of status report from SCP-XXXX-2a, the previous instance of SCP-XXXX-2.

Item #: SCP-1216
The swing of SCP-1216, before containment procedures implemented. |
---|
Object Class: Safe Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1216 is to be kept in an outdoor greenhouse at Bio-Research Site ██. It is to be watered once per day with an automatic sprayer, to prevent potential loss of personnel. If this fails, the appropriate amount of water is to be poured into a funnel (which is located above the greenhouse) connected to an overhead rose. Lighting is automatic and is to simulate day/night patterns of England.
Once Twice per week, SCP-1216 is to be fed with seven (7) rabbits, or an equal amount of similar sized small mammals, which are to be placed in an open-topped cage on the swing via robot.
Access to the grrenhouse requires written permission from at least two (2) level 3 personnel, plus approval from the Site Director. Any personnel who enter the chamber must be accompanied by two (2) guards. While in the greenhouse, personnel should remain at least three (3) five (5) metres from SCP-1216. In the event that the said personnel show any signs of being affected by SCP-1216, they are to be escorted immediately by the guards. If anyone successfully manages to sit on the swing, food for SCP-1216 may be skipped for two (2) weeks. Only D-Class are permitted to sit on the swing, and only in testing situations. Sapling instances of SCP-1216 are to be incinerated immediately.
Preferably, personnel assigned to SCP-1216 are to have had a poor quality childhood and be no older than thirty-five (35) years old.
Description: SCP-1216 appears to be a specimen of a sessile oak tree (Quercus petraea), four (4) metres tall. Externally, it appears to be a normal specimen of its species, however, . The words "Relive your childhood." are carved into the trunk of the tree. Despite SCP-1216 being at least 20 years old, it has not grown since being taken into containment.
There is a handmade swing attached to the lowest branch of the tree. The swing is comprised of an oak plank at the bottom, connected to the tree's lowest branch with hemp rope tied at the branch. The swing can be severed from SCP-1216, but it will regenerate within 12 hours.
Anyone who views SCP-1216 from less than two (2) four (4) metres away will enter a state of relaxation and will walk around the tree, while vocalising positive memories of their childhood. The strength of this effect is correlated to the quality of said subject's childhood and their age. Subjects with a poor quality childhood and/or are younger than thirty-five (35) years old that are affected by SCP-1216 are not as compelled to try and use the swing. After approximately five (5) minutes, subjects affected by SCP-1216 will attempt to sit on the swing and use it. After approximately three (3) minutes of using it, a branch will rapidly grow from the trunk of SCP-1216 and restrain the subject. The roots of SCP-1216 will then proceed to grow at a very rapid rate out of the ground, grab the subject, pull them into the ground and up into the trunk of SCP-1216, where they will be digested. After feeding, the roots will retreat back into the soil.
Ingested subjects are converted into seeds of SCP-1216, which will rise up to the ground and grow rapidly into saplings. These saplings mature at an accelerated rate, taking 6 years to grow into mature instances of SCP-1216 and exhibit the same anomalous properties after maturity has been reached.
SCP-1216 was recovered near the town of A██████, England on ██/██/06, after a routine Foundation sweep revealed an increase of missing people living within 0.█ kilometres of SCP-1216. Foundation agents were sent to investigate, and the anomalous effects of SCP-1216 were determined. After the loss of 3 agents, SCP-1216 was finally transported to Bio-Research Site ██
Addendum-1216-1:
██/██/07: Due to the increased strength of the effect that SCP-1216 produces and the rise of surprise attacks by it, an upgrade to Euclid status has been requested.
Addendum-1216-2:
██/██/07: Upgrade to Euclid status granted.
Addendum-1216-3:
██/██/07: The frequency of unprecedented attacks by SCP-1216 appears to be based on its 'hunger'. Due to this, feeding has increased to twice per week and the minimum safe distance from SCP-1216 has been increased to five (5) metres.

Item #: SCP-1426
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1426-1 to -9 are assigned a keypad-combination storage locker at Reliquary Research and Containment Site-76. Any personnel wishing to use SCP-1426 for testing purposes must have prior written permission from two (2) level three (3) personnel, plus testing approval from the Site Director.
SCP-1426 bits are to be sterilised thoroughly before use, to prevent contamination of extracted samples. SCP-1426 bits are only to be tested on sterilised concrete breeze blocks, to reduce wear on the bits.
Samples extracted are to be sealed in sterile, airtight boxes and stored in the glovebox in Research Lab-16 for study.
Description: SCP-1426-1 to -9 are ██████ Electrical brand 52x150mm diamond-tipped core drill bits. When SCP-1426 bits are used to core a substance, the cylinder of material extracted is not the original material drilled. Instead the sample will be an equal volume from a solid body in the Solar System. The body that the sample is extracted from is entirely dependent on the colour of the bit used. Occasionally, samples retrieved by SCP-1426 bits will show properties not present on some of the bodies that said samples are cored from (see Addendum-1426-1). The name of the body that the sample is taken from is etched into the side of all the bits. There is a very small chance (0.██%) that no sample will be retrieved. Instead, a rolled up piece of paper will be present inside the bit after drilling is complete. The contents of these pieces of paper vary with the drill bit used, but will always be a handwritten copy of part of their respective movements in Gustav Holst's symphony The Planets. If the body is a moon, the movement will be of the planet they orbit. If the body has no movement, then the paper will be blank.
Samples retrieved via SCP-1426 will maintain the temperature of the body they were cored from. In one test, SCP-1426-2 was used to drill a breeze block, and the sample extracted was exactly the same as the average surface temperature of Venus. SCP-1426 bits and the drill that they are being used with do not appear to be damaged by the temperature of the sample they core, but will wear down like ordinary core drill bits. Occasionally, samples retrieved by SCP-1426 bits will show properties not present on some of the bodies that said samples are cored from (see Addendum-1426-1).
SCP-1426 was discovered in the town of ██████, England, when builder █████ A█████ suffered 3rd degree burns to his left hand after attempting to remove a portion of a brick wall he had just drilled with SCP-1426-2. A routine Foundation sweep picked up the report and SCP-1426 was retrieved and transported to Reliquary Research and Containment Site-76. All other core drill bits examined at the local ██████ Electrical store showed no anomalous properties. Mr. A█████ and all witnesses were given Class-B amnesiacs and released.
Addendum-1426-1: Current instances of SCP-1426.
Colour of bit | Body sample extracted from | Notes | Designation |
---|---|---|---|
Grey | Mercury | Temperature of sample depends on the temperature at Caloris Basin. There is a ██% chance that feathers will be present in the sample. | SCP-1426-1 |
Orange | Venus | Sample temperature is always between 462-470°C. Occasionally, the sample extracted will be molten lava, suggesting volcanic activity. | SCP-1426-2 |
Light Blue | Moon | Composition of sample is identical to that of Mare Crisium. There is a ██% chance that the sample extracted will be a light shade of blue and will smell like cheddar. | SCP-1426-3 |
Red | Mars | There is a █% chance that samples extracted contain very high concentrations of water ice. | SCP-1426-4 |
Beige | Io | Samples extracted are radioactive. There is a █% chance that molten sulphur will be retrieved. | SCP-1426-5 |
Brown | Titan | There is a █% chance that liquid ethane will be extracted. Additionally, there is a 0.██% chance that salt water will be retrieved. | SCP-1426-6 |
Green | Miranda | None. | SCP-1426-7 |
Dark Blue | Triton | There is a █% chance that liquid nitrogen will be extracted. | SCP-1426-8 |
Pink | Cycles every 6 months between Pluto, Eris, Makemake and Quaoar. | No matter what dwarf planet samples are cored from, there is a ██% chance that the sample will contain very high concentrations of rhodium. | SCP-1426-9 |

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Ten (10) instances of SCP-XXXX are to be kept in a well-lit, well-filtered 750 litre tank with two (2) centimetre thick glass, furnished with live rock and corals native to the Caribbean. The salt water is to be kept at a temperature of 26°C, a pH of 8.2, and a specific gravity of 1.023, as SCP-XXXX remains active in these conditions. The instances kept for study are to be fed on a varied diet of flake food, brine shrimp, and algae. The water of SCP-XXXX's tank is to be changed bi-weekly.
No more specimens of SCP-XXXX are needed to be introduced to the main tank. All other instances recovered are to be placed in a standard storage locker at Site-19, or destroyed by crushing.
Personnel are to be discouraged from startling the shoal in containment, to avoid damaging the tank and potentially losing specimens.
Description: The manufacturing packaging all recovered instances identifies SCP-XXXX as "Dr. Wondertainment®'s Glass Fish®!" Instances of SCP-XXXX are glass sculptures of a fish, resembling juvenile Queen Angelfish (Holacanthus ciliaris), approximately ten (10) centimetres in length. When instances of SCP-XXXX are fully submerged in water of the correct condition (see Addendum XXXX-1), they will become active. Active specimens of SCP-XXXX swim and behave exactly like juvenile Queen Angelfish. While active, specimens of SCP-XXXX require all the needs that a regular fish needs, except oxygen, as they possess no gills. SCP-XXXX instances are easier to maintain, and are slightly harder to to startle if kept in a shoal of exactly ten (10).
If an instance of SCP-XXXX is not or partially submerged, or fully submerged in water of the incorrect condition, they will not become active, and will remain in their dormant, immobile state.
If specimens of SCP-XXXX are startled in any way (e.g. tapping the glass of the tank), all of the specimens startled will merge together in groups of two (2), doubling their normal size, and will swim about frantically in a panicked state, damaging aquarium glass and potentially harming any other fish present in the tank.
The ten (10) contained specimens were recovered from █████████ Aquatic Store in [REDACTED], Ireland on ██/██/08 after J█████ C███████, an employee at the store, placed an instance of SCP-XXXX in a display tank as an ornament. Upon seeing it become active, Mr. C███████ contacted local authorities. The report was picked up during a routine Foundation sweep. Agents were sent to investigate, and recovered the ten (10) instances of SCP-XXXX. Mr. C███████ and all witnesses were administered a Class-B amnesiac. Efforts to track the shipment delivered to █████████ are currently underway.
Addendum-XXXX-1: This note was present inside the manufacturing boxes of all instances of SCP-XXXX.
