Far Recon Character

Player Name

DrHendra

Name

Fajar Said

Concept

An old-fashioned ex-Paskhas

Aspects

My Grandma Told Me…: Fajar was close to his grandmother before she died and constructs his whole life around her teachings and superstitions. These can range from absurd to practical to sagacious. In extension, he values traditions and religion and prefer doing things ‘the old-fashioned way’.
Worst Shot EVER: Fajar aim is so imprecise and unsteady that if he tries to snipe an obese pig that has been lashed to a tree from 2 metres away, he will certainly fail. The only way he hit anything with a gun is if he fires it point blank.
Running a Tight Ship: Because his grandmother raised him with her meagre pension, Fajar developed a very strict ethos when it comes to money. The word ‘meticulous’ fails to do justice to his bookkeeping, in which not a single cent goes unaccounted. He also refuses to buy things if he could get a working substitute for it for free even if it comes at a price of quality.

Personal History

Fajar is born in an old-fashioned Javanese family. His father was an official of Yogyakarta Sultanate, which gave Fajar’s family a moderately good standing in the eye of the society despite having to live of a meagre salary. To lessen the monetary burden, Fajar was sent to live with his grandmother in Jakarta when he was four. He spent almost 15 years in Jakarta before joining TNI-AU (Indonesia’s National Army-Air Force).

In the army, he developed a reputation for being archaic and superstitious amongst his peers. He was transferred to Paskhas and attached to Battalion 465 “Brajamusti” as an air traffic controller and paratrooper at the age of 23. After 4 years serving with, he was acquisitioned by the Foundation to work as a safety officer at Site-444 before being shipped off to Area 354.

Miscellaneous

Fajar (34) is a relatively small man at only 166 cm and 57 kg with lean built. He is very courteous and respectful, going as far as refusing to sit at higher or equal elevation against people older than he is. He also liked wearing traditionalistic clothing when not on duty. He used to shave when he’s in Paskhas, but has since grown a thick moustache ala Pak Raden.

As an ex-member of the Paskhas, Fajar has experiences in seize-and-secure type of operation. His preference to melee weapon is because of his history with Silat and his role as recon, which requires him to move quickly through dense jungle. Without firearms, he is not burdened with ammunitions. Also, he was involved with several friendly fire incidents during training so his superior decides that it would be better to not issue him any firearm except the standard issue handgun.

His favourite food includes durian, sambal, and fried rice. He usually eats without any utensil.
