Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-01 and SCP-XXXX-02 are currently bound to a white 198█ model Dodge Ram pickup truck emptied of fuel and made inoperable by Foundation personnel. This vehicle is currently contained in a 5.425 m x 2.275 m x 2.260 m Reefer shipping container in Site ██’s storage warehouse. The container is to remain locked at all times and requires approval of site command prior to opening. In the event of containment breech all facility vehicles are to be immediately quarantined and monitored from 21:00 to 6:00 until containment can be reestablished.
Description: SCP-XXXX-01 is a three dimensional silhouette of a man in his mid-twenties to early thirties dressed in a 1930’s era suit and hat. The subject’s body and clothing are both made of the same unknown material that ranges in texture from skin to resembling cloth. At all times, SCP-XXXX-01 is seen brandishing a large butcher knife made from the same material as the subject. This knife operates as a normal steel knife of similar type. This weapon and the subject’s clothing can be fully removed, but disappear along with the subject at 6:00.
SCP-XXXX-02 is the silhouette of a woman of similar age to that of SCP-XXXX-01, wearing a dress of the same period. She carries what resembles a large sack made of the same material as her body and clothes. As with SCP-XXXX-01, this sack and clothing can be fully removed from SCP-XXXX-02’s person but will disappear along with the subject at 6:00.
Both subjects only manifest between the hours of 21:00 and 6:00, after which SCP-XXXX-01 and 02 both phase out of existence until the following night. Both interact with their surrounding environment in a normal human fashion and do not require food or water. In the event of injury neither subject shows signs of pain and yet to succumb to a variety of injuries delivered during escape attempts. All injuries fully regenerate when the subjects reappear at 21:00.
Out of containment the subjects set up along country highways, usually using a derelict vehicle to stop oncoming motorists. When a person stops to investigate, the subjects immediately attempt to kill the victim. Upon death, the victim will be dismembered until the remains can be sufficiently placed inside SCP-XXXX-02’s sack. At this point both subjects will commandeer the victim’s vehicle. In the event that a victim escapes the subjects do not pursue. It is currently unknown what SCP-XXXX-01 and 02 do with the remains of their victims. SCP-XXXX-02's sack is always empty upon reappearing at 21:00.
Upon acquisition of a new vehicle, SCP-XXXX-01 and 02 will then drive as far as possible before 6:00, avoiding major roadways and parking their vehicle prior to disappearing. The subjects will reappear within the vehicle the following night regardless to whether the vehicle has been moved and will continue on their route until their vehicle runs out of fuel or otherwise becomes inoperable. SCP-XXXX-01 and SCP-XXXX-02 will then attempt to obtain a new mode of transportation. The subjects will continue reappearing at the same vehicle each night at 21:00 until a new one is commandeered.
At the current time the subjects appear to have no known destination, driving until reaching a coastline after which they immediately turn around, remaining in the continental United States at all times.
Attempts to interview the subjects have so far been met with failure. Not only are the subjects hostile to human life, but also appear incapable of speech, attacking personnel during all interview attempts to date. Tests to identify the material consisting of the subjects bodies and clothing have likewise been unsuccessful due to the material disappearing along with the subjects at 6:00 each day.
