Description: SCP-XXXX is Vinyl 45 RPM Single of the 1957 song "I'm Steppin' Out Tonight" by Doug DeMott and His Moonlight Ramblers released by Excellent Records, a small, independent Record Label based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Surviving members of both the band and record label have been investigated in depth by the Foundation, and are, at the present time, assumed to have absolutely no connection to the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX came into the Foundation's custody after its retrieval from ██████████, Kentucky on █/9/20██. The Foundation first became aware of SCP-XXXX after its previous owner, ████ █████, commented2 on its anomalous properties on a popular social networking site. A routine keyword-scan of the website drew the posting and its comments to Foundation Personnel, who confiscated SCP-XXXX and interviewed ████ █████ (see Addendum XXXX-1A for the interview transcript) before administering a Class-C Amnesiac.
SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties will only manifest themselves once every nineteen (19) hours and seventeen (17) minutes; the significance of this "dormant" state is currently unknown and pending further investigation. When in its "active" state, playing SCP-XXXX on any suitable phonograph or record-player will lead to the appearance of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX will play for exactly two (2) minutes and thirteen (13) seconds, the length of its title song, before ending and entering its "dormant" state, where it will revert to functioning as a standard 45 rpm single.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a voice which appears to be that of a human male in his ate fifties (50's) to early sixties (60's). SCP-XXXX-1 has been observed referring to itself as Nathaniel ███████ of ██████████, Connecticut, though the authenticity of this claim has yet to be verified3. In all occurrences, SCP-XXXX-1 has appeared to be in various states of both emotional and physical distress, and has often been observed calling for assistance, explanations and, on increasingly frequent occasions, █████.
