Special Containment Procedures Currently, a single SCP-XXXX has been contained within its 4 x 4x 4 meter testing cell in site ██. No one is permitted access to SCP-XXXX's cell without written orders from Level 3 personnel. The entrance is to remain locked at all times. Microphones and recording equipment have also been built into the walls of the containment cell. Maintenance personnel are permitted to perform necessary repairs on the equipment.

If personnel hears a knocking on any of the doors throughout the facility, they are to report it immediately. Do not open the door under any circumstances. Personnel will be sent to assist you.

If an individual reports an unidentifiable knocking on site , dispose of them without hesitation. Replacement personnel will be sent to resume facility duties.

Object Description SCP-XXXX is a designation given to a an unknown number of phenomenon which share the same anomalous behaviour. SCP-XXXX manifests itself as a repetitive knocking sound, which can be heard on doors, windows or other closed apertures. The source of this knocking is currently unknown, though it is speculated that the knocking demonstrates the presence of an intelligent life form. If true, said life form is invisible, intangible and unresponsive to any attempt at communication.

Experimentation has revealed that SCP-XXXX gravitates towards human subjects; if given a choice SCP-XXXX will always knock on a door closest to a person. If the door is opened, SCP-XXXX will momentarily cease knocking on that door, and begin knocking on the next one it encounters between that and the nearest person. From the distance and time covered between knockings, the SCP-XXXX's maximum speed has been calculated at 2.23 meters per second.

If SCP-XXXX is permitted access to a human subject, SCP-XXXX will target that specific subject until [EXPUNGED]. If multiple human's are present, SCP-XXXX will pursue them simultaneously, knocking on multiple doors at once.

As already mentioned, there are a lot of these things going about unseen and unsecured. Who knows how many there are, attempting to gain access to restricted areas. We can't allow the risk to on site security. A method to capture or destroy them is vital. I'm upgrading to Keter. -Dr. ██████████

Special Containment Procedures SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 10x10x5 meter chamber. SCP-XXXX is currently not permitted to leave his chamber. Arrangements have been made with the on-sight physician and dental surgeon to remain on call, should SCP-XXXX request their services. Health check-ups are scheduled throughout the day. SCP-XXXX is to be provided with 16 kg of rocks per day. For this purpose, a supply of rocks is kept by the chamber, periodically replenished. If SCP-XXXX requests additional sustenance, staff are to immediately comply.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a white, Caucasian male of Mediterranean origin. His name and age are unknown, but his appearance suggests he is at least 70 years old. SCP-XXXX is generally docile, and cooperative with Foundation personnel.

SCP-XXXX has a compulsion to consume stones, bricks, or similarly dense aggregates. This compulsion is periodic, and will decline once SCP-XXXX has swallowed a sufficient amount of stone. If no rocks are immediately available, SCP-XXXX will either attempt to escape containment, or try to break off pieces of concrete form the walls or floor for consumption.

The human body is typically incapable of maintaining this kind of diet, and SCP-XXXX is no exception. Mastication results in extensive damage to SCP-XXXX's teeth, jaws and digestive tract, requiring continuous medical treatment from Foundation specialists. Since his arrival in ████, there have been multiple operations to repair or replace damaged teeth and bone, suture injuries to the palette, tongue, gums and throat, and reduce infection.

X-ray scans reveal a number of unidentified objects lodged in SCP-XXXX's stomach. Little can be determined at this time, but they appear to be organic. Invasive surgery may be necessary to determine the contents.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is located at a pedestrian crossing, in busy street on ███████, New York, Manhattan. A custom, close fitting, steel casing has been built around SCP-XXXX, so as to maintain its outward appearance whilst making it inaccessible to the public. The casing has been painted black and yellow to match SCP-XXXX's color scheme. Both SCP-XXXX's "Push-to-cross" button and traffic lights have their own access hatches, which are to be kept locked at all times. Tarpaulin bags, labelled "under maintenance" are to be placed over these access hatches.

SCP-XXXX must not be handled without clearance from level 3 staff. An on sight security team must be stationed at the ready, so as to prevent members of the public from tampering with the casing, and to take into custody any suspected GUI members seen operating in the area.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a traffic light, located at a pedestrian crossing in ███████, New York. The traffic light is fully functional and works in accordance with the other traffic lights in the area. SCP-XXXX has a "push-to-cross" button, which is fully functional, yet disabled, as is customary for typical New York crossings. Carved around the button are the words "Are We Cool Yet". A survey of the foundations reveal that the SCP-XXXX loosely sits in a concrete base, extending 26 meters into the ground. SCP-XXXX is not connected to the main power grid, and its source of power remains unclear at the present.

Anomalous behaviour becomes apparent when subjects make physical contact with SCP-XXXX. On contact, bare skin will immediately adhere to to the surface of SCP-XXXX. The mechanism for this adhesion is unknown, and all attempts to break the adhesion have so far failed. The only way to remove a subject from SCP-XXXX is by surgical excision.

Once attached to SCP-XXXX, subjects undergo further anomalous physical changes. Their flesh, organs and entire body becomes extremely ductile, so that if an attempt is made to pull away from SCP-XXXX, subjects will elongate from the point of contact. This physical deformation is not well understood, but it appears that an attached object can be easily stretched to an indefinite length. The distortion causes no pain to the subject, and due to the lack of resistance, they may even be totally unaware of it (see experiment log for details). The process cannot be reversed, and all deformations are permanent. Distorted organs and biological systems appear to function as normal despite being pulled out of shape. Extensive distortion does however hamper mobility, as the subject's limbs will eventually "stretch out" beyond practical use. Attempts to sever stretched tissue carries a risk of major blood loss, as well as substantial damage to any severed organs.

SCP-XXXX is somehow capable of rotating in its concrete base. After a subject has become attached, SCP-XXXX may gradually rotate on its own accord. As this rotation pulls on the subject, further distortion will occur. Once the subject becomes too deformed to resist this rotation, they may be gradually dragged around the pole, and down below street level. At this point, the subject will be gradually [EXPUNGED].

Experimentation Logs:

XXXX-1 Summary: on Dr. ██/██/████ at 03:43 am, local time, Dr. ██████ conducted experiment XXXX-1 to determine both the physiological and psychological effects of distortion, exhibited by subjects attached to SCP-XXXX. Subject D-9127 was blindfolded and guided towards SCP-XXXX. D-9127was required to touch SCP-XXXX with the tip of his/ index finger (right hand). D-9127 was then guided away from SCP-XXXX, being told to walk for as long as possible./

Distortion was immediately visible, though subject reported to be unaware of any physical changes. After travelling 23 meters, D-9127 appeared to have difficulty walking. On questioning, he claimed to feel no discomfort.

After 43 meters, D-9127 stopped, requesting permission to rest. Permission was denied, and D-9127 was ordered onwards.

At 61 meters, D-9127 stopped again, refusing to go onwards. At this stage in the experiment, the section of distortion measured on average, 13 mm in diameter. The area of distortion included D-9127's index finger, entire right arm, head and neck, upper and lower torso, left arm, and right leg. D-9127 was again ordered onwards.

At 67 meters, D-9127 collapsed, incapable or unwilling to travel further on his own. Dr. ██████ ordered personnel to lift D-9127 into a wheelchair. From this point onwards, D-9127 was pushed further from the SCP-XXXX site.

At 139 meters, Dr. ██████ had to hold D-9127 into the wheelchair. By this stage, D-9127 had distorted to the point that no distinct appendages or limbs could be seen. As it was becoming impractical to take D-9127 any further, the experiment was concluded. D-9127 was excised from SCP-XXXX and has been taken to site - ██ for further examination.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1252 is located in a disused flour mill in [REDACTED]. The entrance to SCP-1252 is a steel, reinforced sliding door, secured by a standard padlock. The entrance is to have a stationed guard at all times.

No personnel are permitted access to SCP-1252 unless they have clearance from level 4 staff. If individuals have entered SCP-1252, personnel are to not to enter after them under any circumstances.

Description: SCP-1252 is a disused grain elevator, originally constructed as part of a flour mill owned by ██████. The interior has been completely stripped, whilst the floors, interior walls and stairs have all been removed. ███████ denies ever commissioning or authorising any such deconstruction. As SCP-1252 lacks windows and interior lighting, much of the interior is in complete darkness.

Individuals exhibit anomalous behaviour after entering SCP-1252. Within the first minute of entering the elevator, subjects become distressed, apparently caused by a sudden onset of acute acrophobia. The distress increases over time, and after approximately four (4) minutes, subjects panic and become unresponsive to outside communication. During this time, individuals will exhibit tensile deformation, "stretching" upwards into the vertical space of SCP-1252. The mechanism for this process is unknown, though it allows the human body to elongate far beyond the shearing point for human organs. After approximately twelve (12) minutes, subjects grow as tall as the vertical space allows. The subject's spine eventually buckles and snaps, having grown too tall for the enclosed space. In those cases were death is not immediate, subjects inevitably die of asphyxiation after several minutes. Studies suggest that though subjects are aware of their circumstances throughout, they are incapable of leaving the elevator once the process has begun.
