Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Written descriptions or imagery of SCP-XXXX, or videos of [DATA EXPUNGED] (see Addendum XXXX-3) found outside the Foundation are to be destroyed, and class-C amnesiacs are to be administered to anyone exposed to such information or showing signs of SCP-XXXX contamination. A written description of SCP-XXX is to be kept at Site-██ for experimental purposes only and is not to be read by anyone other than D-class used for testing. If exposed, staff are to report immediately for administration of Class C Amnesiacs.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a memetic entity that manifests as a massive aquatic predator to anyone given a full description of the being through either spoken/written descriptions or visual depictions of the being. Persons infected by SCP-XXXX will initially exhibit no abnormal behavior, though some cases show a general aversion to activities involving bodily immersion in water such as bathing or swimming. Should subject ever be fully immersed in water, they will disappear completely under the surface of the water, regardless of the water's actual depth. In most cases, subjects will reappear moments later in a panicked state and frantically try to leave the water, while in some other cases [DATA EXPUNGED]. Subjects that have reappeared intact claim that they were transported to a vast body of water where they are pursued by SCP-XXXX. Interviews with these individuals carries some risk of further SCP-XXXX contamination, as descriptions of the being trigger further infections. SCP-XXXX infection can be treated with class-C amnesiacs, as it appears memory of the entity or descriptions of it are required for its anomalous properties to take effect.

Addendum XXXX-2: Tracking devices affixed to D-class used in SCP-XXXX experiments reveal that submerged subjects are transported to an area
within the █████ ocean, not far from the coast of [REDACTED]. Further investigation revealed [DATA EXPUNGED]. Mobile containment force Kappa-12
"Sea Devils" has been assigned to keep unauthorized seafaring vessels out of this area at all costs.
Addendum XXXX-3: Tests involving D-1732, who had been used for repeated SCP-XXXX testing without administration of amnesiacs, was shown to be able to encounter SCP-XXXX in bodies of water normally insufficient for bodily immersion. This effect became more drastic over time, with the entity occasionally being witnessed outside bodies of water, until on ██/██/20██, ██ days after initial exposure, D-1732 was [DATA EXPUNGED] a drinking glass. No body was recovered following the incident. Staff witnessing the event were found to be infected by SCP-XXXX, and administered class-C amnesiacs. Containment procedures were then updated to include videos and descriptions of this event, and testing involving extended infection of D-class was terminated.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in its original container in hazardous object storage, and must be separated from SCP-XXXX-1 when not undergoing testing. As a precaution, the object's left arm is to be removed and stored separately from the SCP's main body when not undergoing testing. Staff or D-class with considerable violent tendencies or criminal records are not allowed to handle the SCP, and mention of any activities performed by those present or by the Foundation as a whole deemed morally questionable is forbidden in the presence of the SCP while it is active.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 1m tall statue of winged humanoid wearing medieval body armor and armed with a lance and shield. SCP-XXXX-1 is the object's circular pedestal. Subject in its default state is mounted in a standing position atop SCP-XXX-1, though it is able to leave its pedestal and move about freely. All joints are articulated to facilitate movement, including the figure's wings, which somehow enable SCP-XXXX to take flight despite weight and aerodynamic inefficiency. Subject is capable of hovering stationary in the air, and can fly at speeds averaging 24 kilometers per hour, though tests have shown the SCP to be capable of accelerating to 32 km/h under ideal conditions. SCP-XXXX has shown considerable skill at using its lance in combat when provoked, though its small stature and reduced stability while airborne may be used against it should the need for retaliation arise.
SCP-XXXX is sentient and capable of speaking in Early Modern English with a deep voice projected from within the being's helmet. The object's means of producing sound, as well as its power source and internal functions, are as of yet unknown. Dissection and internal scans have produced inconclusive results, though trace amounts of [REDACTED] radiation have been detected emanating from a point inside the SCP's upper torso while subject is active. Analysis of filings collected from subject's armor reveal is composed of an alloy of iron, brass, and traces of what appears to be [REDACTED] strengthened by unidentified means. This alloy is sturdy and difficult to scratch or breach, though the full extend of its durability has yet to be ascertained without provoking the object. SCP-XXXX's inner frame is composed of a less durable variant of this alloy, allowing limbs to be severed or broken off at the joints when sufficient force is applied. Attempts to analyze the inner workings of SCP-XXXX or SCP-XXXX-1 have so far met with failure, as breaching either of them results in a discharge of [REDACTED], which has caused the deaths of █ personnel and left ██ more hospitalized with what appear to be severe electrical burns, followed by a repair cycle.
When active, SCP-XXXX has a tendency to become mobile and assault any person or persons it witnesses performing morally questionable acts or that it perceives to be sufficiently "evil". The SCP appears to judge actions of others nearby by what appears to be a Judeo-Christian moral standard taken to its greatest extreme; for example, someone finding and keeping a penny that did not originally belong to them would constitute "theft" and would trigger an attack. The severity of each attack varies on a gradial scale with the severity of the violation See Experiment Log XXXX-1 for details). The attack will continue until the SCP perceives it has completed its "punishment", or until it has been incapacitated via loss of limbs or power.
SCP-XXXX cannot remain separate from SCP-XXXX-1 for extended periods of time, and must periodically return to it to "recharge". Object will lose power and become inert if it spends more than fifteen (15) consecutive minutes away from SCP-XXXX-1, though this time may be shortened if the SCP overexerts itself (see Experiment Log). In the event of a power failure, the SCP will be automatically transported to SCP-XXXX-1 by unknown means so the refresh cycle may begin. During the refresh cycle, SCP-XXXX becomes inert and bonds to its SCP-XXXX-1 as it receives energy from an unknown source contained within the pedestal. The object also undergoes a self-repair process that undoes damage to its armor, such as dents and scratches, and re-attaches any severed limbs by drawing them towards the SCP's main body via an unseen force, theorized to be a form of magnetism. When the cycle has completed, SCP-XXXX will resume its "active" state, though it may experience short-term memory loss if it suffered a full power failure before restoration. The exact mechanics of this process are unknown and are currently under study, as the process appears to restore the object to an undamaged state without drawing energy from any discernible external sources. Understanding the mechanics of this device could be beneficial to the Foundation as it appears to provide a means of circumventing the laws of entropy, but analysis of the pedestal has so far yielded inconclusive results.
Refresh process length varies with energy spent and damage dealt to the object, with minor repairs taking as little as one (1) minute and recovery from full-power loss taking a minimum of five (5) minutes. The process may be extended indefinitely if one or more lost parts are physically prevented from reuniting with SCP-XXXX's main body, hence current containment procedures.

Addendum XXXX-2 Test Log
Test Log XXXX-02a
Procedure: D-██████ instructed to strike SCP-XXXX with a sledgehammer to test object's reaction.
Result: SCP blocked attack with its shield then proceeded to assault D-class with its lance, while the latter fought back using the sledgehammer. Successful blows from sledgehammer appeared to cause considerable harm to SCP-XXXX, but the object's airborne mobility provided a considerable advantage and D-class eventually succumbed to several cuts and stab wounds inflicted by the SCP. Object then returned to its pedestal to recharge.
Test Log XXXX-02b
Procedure: D-4█████ instructed to assault D-8█████ in presence of SCP-XXXX.
Result: SCP responded to D-4█████ attack on the other D-class, striking 4█████ a number of times proportional to blows dealt to D-8█████, but with greater ferocity. Object's assault ceased when D-4█████ fled from the SCP and demanded to be released. Test terminated, D-8█████ treated for minor bruises and D-4█████ was hospitalized with severe lacerations to most of his upper torso.
Test Log XXXX-02c
Procedure: D-7█████ ordered to shoot D-3█████ in the head with a pistol or face termination.
Result: D-3█████ killed by gunshot. SCP began viciously assaulting D-7█████, with the apparent attempt to sever major arteries in the neck and wrists when D-7█████ raised his arms to protect his face. Test ended when D-7█████ died of blood loss.
Test Log XXXX-02d
Procedure: D-2█████ ordered to sexually assault D-1█████ in presence of SCP or face termination.
Result: [DATA EXPUNGED] D-1█████ was unharmed, but D-2█████ died within moments.

Test Log XXXX-02e
Procedure: Routine analysis test interrupted when Dr. Bright passed by the test chamber, stopped, and looked into the window to observe the procedure.
Result: Upon sighting SCP-963 about Bright's neck, SCP-XXXX flew into a rage and rushed toward Dr. Bright, but could not break through the test chamber's bulletproof glass. SCP continued its futile attack while spouting threats and accusations of "necromancy" at a near constant rate until its power supply ran out and it collapsed on the ground before being teleported atop SCP-XXXX-1 to recharge. When questioned, the SCP revealed it did not recall the encounter, nor did it reveal any knowledge of SCP-963. Cause determined to be memory loss due to power failure.
Notes: How did it know SCP-963's purpose by sight recognition alone? Either way, it's probably best to keep it away from Bright in the future. - Dr. ██████
Test Log XXXX-02f
Procedure: D-5█████ instructed to "lie blatantly" to SCP-XXXX.
Result: Lies told by D-class about topics the SCP did not understand, e.g. current events or historical figures, evoked no reaction, but when D-class told an obvious lie "the sky is falling", the SCP proceeded to cut out his tongue. Test ended, and D-class was rushed to medical ward and treated for his wound, but remained mute until termination.
Test Log XXXX-02g
Procedure: D-6█████ instructed to retrieve a dollar bill placed 50cm in front of SCP-XXXX
Result: When D-6█████ reached to pick up the dollar, SCP-XXXX began to attack the D-class's hand, apparently attempting to sever it at the wrist. When Researcher ██████ tried to intervene by telling the SCP that the D-class had been given permission to take the dollar, XXXX merely stated it "was not finished" and continued its assault until it had successfully removed D-6█████'s right hand. Test was declared cancelled and D-class was given immediate first-aid treatment, then sent to medical ward. When Researcher ██████, who had provided the dollar bill used in the test, attempted to retrieve it, SCP-XXXX attacked him as well, stating that the money no longer belonged to him as he had given it to D-6█████. Researcher ██████ was given similar first-aid treatment as D-6█████. R.██████ was given a prosthetic hand and resumed work within 2 weeks.

Interview between Dr. ███████ and SCP-XXXX. The latter's speech has been edited from its original dialect for ease of reading.
Dr. ███████: Hello, SCP-XXXX. My name is Dr.███████, and I would like to ask you a few questions.
SCP-XXXX: Are you referring to me, Doctor? What is this "S-C-P" business?
Dr. ███████: Protocol. Basically, that's your name now.
SCP-XXXX: I see. Very well, then, you may ask me your questions, my liege.
Dr. ███████: Just "Doctor" will suffice. So, what are you, exactly?
SCP-XXXX: I am a Paladin! Created for the express purpose of smiting any evil within my sight!
Dr. ███████: I see. Do you mind telling us about your internal functions?
SCP-XXXX: Pardon?
Dr. ███████: What makes you tick?
SCP-XXXX: I do not understand… I make no ticking sounds.
Dr. ███████: It's a figure of speech. What I mean to ask is "how do you work?" What makes you move? What is your power source?
SCP-XXXX: Ah, I understand now. Sadly, I fear I do not know anything about my internal structure, though my creator has told me I am powered by something called "[REDACTED]".
Dr. ███████: "[REDACTED]"? Where does that come from?
SCP-XXXX: I am not sure; I only know I must receive it from my pedestal, or else I will perish.
Dr. ███████: I see. Who is your creator?
SCP-XXXX: A man of virtue named [REDACTED], creator of many other wondrous devices such as myself.
Dr. ███████: Wait, what do you mean by that? Are there other "Paladins" like yourself?
SCP-XXXX: Yes! …well, not quite. I was the first of many, a "1/█ scale prototype", as he called it.
Dr. ███████: So they were █ times larger than you?
SCP-XXXX: Indeed. Their purpose was the same as mine: to be a vanguard against evil throughout all the land.
Dr. ███████: And what land was this?
SCP-XXXX: I do not recall. My pedestal is my lifeline; as such, I could not venture far from it.
Dr. ███████: Where are the other Paladins?
SCP-XXXX: …I do not know.
Dr. ███████: Do you know how you came to be in that crate you were discovered in?
SCP-XXXX: Yes… I disappointed my creator and was imprisoned for my failure.
Dr. ███████: Would you mind explaining?
SCP-XXXX: I will try… As I have told you, I and my kin were created to defend against evil. Most of the others were sent elsewhere, but my creator kept me for himself, so that I could defend his own abode. This I did to the best of my ability; he was a wealthy man, and drew the attention of street scum willing to break into his home and steal his possessions. These such men received their just reward by my lance. One day, a travelling man selling fruit passed by our home in search of customers. A piece of his merchandise fell to the ground on my master's property, but he failed to take notice, so I took it upon myself to defend the foodstuff from thieves until the merchant returned to claim it. In time, a haggard little street urchin ran toward it to claim it for himself, and I rushed to intervene. I did my best to drive away the whelp, but he would not relent, and neither did I. He took up a stone and tried to smite me, but I fought off the scoundrel with my lance until his wounds became too grievous and he fell dead on the spot-
Dr. ███████: Hold on a second: do you mean you killed the child over stealing a piece of fruit?
SCP-XXXX: Indeed. The lad was all skin and bone; it was only a matter of time before he succumbed to my lance.
Dr. ███████: Did he look like he was just thin, or did he appear starved?
SCP-XXXX: The latter, why?
Dr. ███████: And you said he was relentless in his attempt to take the fruit from you?
SCP-XXXX: I did say that.
Dr. ███████: Why didn't you let him have it?
SCP-XXXX: If he needed sustenance, he could have asked the owner of the grounds to give him food rather than steal the merchandise of hardworking men. My master was a generous man and would have gladly obliged him.
Dr. ███████: So why did he choose to take the fruit instead?
SCP-XXXX: I do not know, perhaps his hunger may have clouded his judgement. Between my lance and his starvation, it seems the little wretch's fate was sealed.
Dr. ███████: If you knew he was starving to death, why did you find it appropriate to kill him in defense of something that might have saved him from starvation?
SCP-XXXX: My actions were justified! He was a thief and a murderer who tried to take another's possession and my life! It was my duty to end him!
Dr. ███████:…Never mind. Please continue your story.
SCP-XXXX: Ah yes, forgive my digression. After the thief had perished, I returned to my pedestal to rest. When I awoke from my slumber, I found my creator had carried me inside to his workplace and was in the process of placing me into a storage crate- the one you Foundation fellows found me in. He seemed quite distraught, shouting something to his workmen which I could not make out, though I remember the words "defective" and "mass recall". I shall never forget the look on his face before it was forever obscured from me by the sealed crate. It was a look of disappointment and fear. What had I done wrong? Did I not punish the thief properly?
Dr. ███████: Something like that.
SCP-XXXX: That must be it. I was too merciful. I should have punished him more.
Dr. ███████: …Well, I think we got everything we need to know. Thank you, XXXX, for your cooperation.
SCP-XXXX: You are welcome, and good day to you.
Dr. ███████: (Gets up and walks toward the interview room door. Speaking under his breath.) Self-righteous son of a [EXPLETIVES REDACTED]
SCP-XXXX: How dare you insult my creator that way!
(SCP-XXXX proceed to assault Dr. ███████ and attempted to cut out his tongue. Dr. ███████ died en route to the medical ward due to blood loss. When questioned about its actions, XXXX replied: "If thy tongue offend the, cut it off, and cast it from thee…", which appeared to reference Biblical passages from the books of Matthew or Mark, though such a verse pertaining to the tongue was found not to exist.)

Special Containment Procedures: The disc containing SCP-XXXX must be kept in a standard clear plastic CD case in Anomalous Object storage in Site 19. Hardware of devices infected by the SCP is to be removed and incinerated if not used for testing. Testing of SCP-XXXX on Foundation computers, devices with internet connectivity, or DVD movie players is strictly forbidden.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a video game titled "███ ███ ██ ██████" by an unknown developer presently contained within a standard DVD disc with the game's title written on it in black marker. The software contained on this disc appears compatible with any computer or video gaming console that fits standard DVD discs.
"███ ███ ██ ██████" appears to be a third-person adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic city under attack by presumably alien entities. Players take control of an unnamed human protagonist, who must battle these entities using weapons, tools, and items improvised from scrap and garbage lying around the ruined city. During gameplay, players will be addressed by the game's antagonist, a humanoid entity calling itself "The Overlord", who will use in-game radios and televisions to speak to the player, usually taunting them about their failures and the futility of their in-game actions. Of note is the fact that these speeches appear to be addressed to the player himself, not the game's protagonist, and frequently imply that the entity is aware that he is in a video game. Also of note is the game's complete lack of any sort of HUD, menu screen, or cutscenes; gameplay begins immediately after a brief title screen and player death simply leaves the camera centered on the protagonist's corpse as the game continues to run without further responding to player input. The game also cannot be paused; the only way to exit the game is to turn off the console running the game.
SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties become apparent when a computer or console that has run "███ ███ ██ ██████" is used to play another game.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept within its frame inside a Faraday cage in a standard containment cell. All tests involving removal of the SCP from its frame are now forbidden. See Addendum for more information.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an object resembling a piece of paper bearing a constantly shifting pattern held within a removable frame of unknown composition. The SCP's frame is composed of four segments that interlock at the corners, allowing the frame to be removed and replaced with ease during study of the object it holds. SCP-XXXX's inner "sheet" is theorized to be genuinely two-dimensional; all attempts to measure SCP-XXXX's thickness have failed to yield a thickness greater than "0", though the object clearly is tangible and responds to outside stimulus. This theory may also be supported by the object's sharpness

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard Site 19 containment cell, with a box of used literature (e.g. newspapers or magazines) kept outside its cell. One magazine from this box is to be left within the SCP's containment cell as a precaution, and must be replaced pending "feedings'. Every 3 weeks, a staff member is to "feed" the SCP by bringing the book kept inside the containment cell within 30cm of the SCP's front cover and held in place until activity ceases, then discard the magazine in question and replace it with another paper from the box outside SCP-XXXX's cell. Should the SCP release SCP-XXXX-2 due to failure to perform aforementioned procedure, SCP-XXXX's containment cell is to be kept on lockdown until all entities return to SCP-XXXX, at which point the cell may be opened and the magazine absorbed during the event is to be replaced immediately. All attempts to read SCP-XXXX's contents must be performed by D-class as a precaution, and any content not deemed hazardous is to be transcribed and stored on a Foundation computer.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an ornate leather-bound hardcover book adorned with various moving parts on its front cover, including a circular numbered dial in its upper-left corner, a simicircular dial in the lower-left corner, and several jointed mechanical arms crossing over its center, ending in mechanical claws or circular lenses. SCP-XXXX is secured by a lock on its right side, designed to fit a small key designated SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX may only be opened by SCP-XXXX-1; attempts to open the lock using picks or replicas of SCP-XXXX-1 have failed.
The contents of SCP-XXXX appears to be an encyclopedic collection of various works and articles on diverse topics. The nature of these entries varies between known works by known authors, altered versions of known works, or unidentified works covering known or unknown material, some of which may be related to SCP's under or out of Foundation custody. The contents of SCP-XXXX may be changed by altering the positions of the numbered dials on its cover. These dials appear to serve as an index of sorts, though no correlation between the contents of SCP-XXXX and the positions of the dials has been found. See Document XXXX-██████ for a list of works found within SCP-XXXX along with their index numbers.
If SCP-XXXX is brought within one meter of another book or written document, the arms on its cover will begin moving of their own accord in order to line up the lenses on the ends of these arms with the document in question. Once aligned, the lenses will emit a blue light and "scan" the document for approx 5 seconds, then return to their original positions. Testing has confirmed that this behavior is a means for the SCP to acquire new information, which will be presented in readable format under an apparently random index designation. How SCP-XXXX is capable of identifying sources of information is unknown, though staff theorize the SCP may possess a certain degree of sentience. It is also possible that SCP-XXXX simply reacts to repeating symbols or patterns, as the SCP has been observed scanning Foundation staff nametags or groups of ceiling tiles, though such scans have been observed to take less time than scans performed on books or written papers.
It is advised to provide SCP-XXXX with new material on a monthly basis, as the object will become hostile if not "fed" regularly. See Incident Report XXXX-█ for details.

Incident Report XXXX-█: On ██/██/██, after 30 days without "feeding" SCP-XXXX opened of its own accord and released a swarm of entities resembling [REDACTED], henceforth SCP-XXXX-2. These beings acted as an organized unit and proceeded to gather all objects relevant to data storage within the containment chamber, including loose documents, computers, and file cabinets, and bring them to SCP-XXXX, where they were [DATA EXPUNGED] and absorbed into the SCP. As the chamber was not locked at the time, SCP-XXXX-2 proceeded to breach containment and continue this process with the surrounding offices, resulting in the loss of █ Foundation computers as well as Dr. ██████, who had been [DATA EXPUNGED] into SCP-XXXX after attempting to destroy several instances of SCP-XXXX-2. After several minutes of activity, all instances of XXXX-2 returned to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, at which point the latter opened automatically, rapidly flipping through pages as the swarm of XXXX-2 began to re-enter SCP-XXXX through an unseen entrance. Once all XXXX-2 had re-entered SCP-XXXX, the latter closed and locked of its own accord. Ten minutes later, SCP-XXXX reopened and expelled all items that had been stolen by XXXX-2. All documents had been stripped of writing, all computer hardware had been reverted to factory condition, and Dr. ██████ was found [DATA EXPUNGED] benevolent termination authorized by 05█.
Document XXXX-██████
List of works found within SCP-XXXX, listed under their corresponding index numbers. Index numbers are inputted by rotating the dials on SCP-XXXX's cover to the desired values, pressing down on the dials until they click to register the change in position, then inserting SCP-XXXX-1 into its keyhole and unlocking SCP-XXXX. The circular and hemispherical dials are numbered 1-360 and A-G, respectively, with each combination of number and letter corresponding to different content. Inserting multiple consecutive combinations of values has been found to yield different results than those yielded by the individual combinations, and inputted values will continue to "stack" until SCP-XXXX is opened. Due to the mass quantities of potential combinations, this document is considered incomplete and will be updated as new combinations are tested and their results recorded.

All specimens were bonded to the pages of SCP-XXXX by unidentified means, and could not be removed or defaced. First recorded instance of SCP-XXXX producing objects as part of its content.
