Special Containment Procedures: Every instance of SCP-XXXX must be kept in a Secure Storage Locker at Site-12. Any information derived from- and access to the object is restricted to those of Level-2 clearance or above. In the event of unauthorized provision of information, everyone at Site-12 should be administered with class-B amnesiacs. In the event of debridement, class-A analgesics should be applied on the remaining tissue.
If research on an instance of SCP-XXXX is to be performed, a case-by-case request, containing a detailed list of test questions, must be submitted to O5 command for approval. Research should be conducted under supervision of Dr. Podrani at Area-43. Before testing the object, Area-43 should be made free of flammable materials and the high performance calcium silicate floor should be checked on integrity after every test.
Description: SCP-XXXX consists of five (5) opened ███████ █████-brand cans of dehydrated alphabet soup (SCP-XXXX-a through e). The composition of the soup mix is consistent with similar brands of this type. All cans are marked with serial numbers on the bottom, with 1/6 for SCP-XXXX-a to 5/6 for SCP-XXXX-e as postfix to the serial number. It is unclear if there is a 6/6 instance of SCP-XXXX. The expiration date printed on the top of the cans are different per object instance.
The anomalous effects of all instances of SCP-XXXX are triggered by placing at least ███g of SCP-XXXX on a sheet of paper containing only a single question. This question can be hand written or typed in any font. The language in which the question is asked can be any recognized language. Each instance of SCP-XXXX responds to a question as long as the question is written in the past tense, except SCP-XXXX-d which answers only to any closed 'yes' or 'no' type questions. While standing on top of the sheet of paper, the object is to be heated to 97°C. When this temperature is reached, different letters will begin to boil to the surface one by one and form a message pertaining to the question asked.1 The anomalous properties will not appear if one of these conditions have not been met.
The answers given by every instance of SCP-XXXX revolve around death, destruction in disregard of the nature of the question. Also each answer seems to correspond to be within a ███ year timeframe with the expiration date as the median. When the last letter of an answer has surfaced by an instance of SCP-XXXX, the sheet of paper will catch on fire and instantly build up into a fireball of varying size and temperature. SCP-XXXX itself is unharmed by the fireball trough means not yet understood.
