Item #: SCP-1015
Object Class: Safe Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1015-1 is to be contained in Cell Block ████ at Foundation Site █████-██ and given food and water three times a day. SCP-1015-1 may not be granted extra furnishing beyond replacements of what is already given. The SCP-1015-1 is not to be given any objects that might aid suicide. When handling SCP-1015-1, personnel should be wearing full body protection and should not have any bare skin exposed. SCP-1015-1 is to be monitored at all times by at least two security personnel via security cameras.
Description: SCP-1015 is a phenomenon attached to SCP-1015-1. SCP-1015-1, hereafter referred to as the Subject, is a 31 year old Caucasian male of below average height, underweight and unusually pale, but otherwise physically normal. The Subject appears to suffer from an undocumented form of severe psychosis which causes seizures and hallucinations in the Subject, particularly when near other individuals.
The Subject is not to come in contact with the bare skin of any other person. Doing so results in the person who touched the Subject being quickly and violently killed by an undetectable force, referred to as SCP-1015. Behavior from the victim suggests they become aware of the presence of the SCP-1015 immediately after contact with the Subject. Usually the victim's death is caused very deep lacerations rapidly appearing all around their body, but the following has also been observed:
- Dismemberment and/or decapitation
- Disembowelment
- Pulled apart by the limbs
- Twisted into unnatural angles, resulting in shattered spine and limbs
- Impalement
- [DATA EXPUNGED]
- Combination of the above
For a comprehensive SCP-1015 caused deaths log, see [DATA EXPUNGED].
One notable incident occurred during recovery of the Subject. Recovery Specialist ██████ ███████ unintentionally made physical contact with the Subject. ██████ ███████ suffered rapid mental deterioration as lacerations began to slowly appear on the victim's body for █ days. Despite attempts from staff surgeons to stem bleeding, cuts ranging from 5mm to 40mm in depth continued to appear on the victim until death. Constantly over this period the victim had reportedly “begged or pleaded for mercy with an unseen entity.”
Attempts to achieve a physical description of SCP-1015 are so far inconclusive.
Interviews, after the Subject has heavily medicated, reveal that the Subject feels significant guilt about deaths caused by SCP-1015. These interviews also suggest that SCP-1015 is sentient and that there are multiple instances of SCP-1015 attached to the Subject. The Subject has attempted suicide ██ times since being acquired, 81% of which the Subject was interrupted by a sudden seizure in the attempt. Sedation has so far not been necessary to feed the Subject.
Addendum 1015-1: ██/██/████, SCP-1015-1 is showing increasing mental detachment and instability as well as refusal to answer questions. Subject is also showing greater hostility to Foundation staff, having attempted to forcibly remove a personnel's mask during a regular psychological exam. Upgrade from Safe to Euclid class has been requested and authorized.
Interviewed: SCP-1015-1
Interviewer: Dr. █████████
Date: ██/██/199█
Foreword: Interviewed in SCP-1015-1 quarters in Cell Block ████ at Foundation Site █████-██ shortly after acquisition. Goal of interview is to determine the cause of the anomalous deaths that occur after physical contact with SCP-1015-1. SCP-1015-1 was monitored by an electroencephalography (EEG) machine and heavily medicated to induce greater lucidity, see [REDACTED] for exact dosage information.
