SCP-XXXX-2, "Jeremiah"

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-XXXX are to be stored in an underground vault, located at Site-██. At all times, both instances must be held in an immobilized case, lined with styrofoam pellets to dampen any potential impacts. SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-3 must be checked once weekly for cracks or other imperfections. Any damage to the objects is to be repaired immediately, taking care to preserve the original form of the artifact.

Description: SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-3 are glass tetrahedra, resembling 3D Stars of David (also known as the Merkabah). Supporting the glass pieces that make up the body of the artifacts is an iron framework, inscribed with Hebrew text. Instances of SCP-XXXX have been observed glowing a faint red, blue or green colour in dark conditions.

It is unknown where exactly all three original instances of SCP-XXXX were recovered (See Incident Log XXXX-1a), however, they are presumed to have been manufactured approximately around 800 BC. Data relating to Incident Log XXXX-1a was mainly recovered from various journals or other texts from that period in time. Each instance of SCP-XXXX possesses a different inscription on it's iron framework.

SCP-XXXX-1 (Destroyed): ישעיהו - Yeshayahu - Isiah
SCP-XXXX-2: ירמיהו - Yirmiyahu - Jeremiah
SCP-XXXX-3: יחזקאל - Yehezq'el - Ezekiel

The names inscribed onto the three artifacts are the names of Hebrew prophets from the Nevi'im section of the Tanakh. Each of these prophets predict judgement for the sins of the Israelites or the nations persecuting Judah.

If an instance of SCP-XXXX is shattered, the inscription on the iron framework is reported to glow a bright red. Anyone in the area simultaneously hears a voice, (the source of which is unknown, but has been described as coming from "everywhere") explaining that the coming events are repentance for their sins. Direct witnesses of the event proceed to describe a "deep understanding" of the forecasted events; however, they often find it difficult to express this understanding in words.

Incident Log XXXX-1a: In approximately ███ BC, according to historical texts, SCP-XXX-1 was shattered. Within the following decade, the two cities of ███████ and █████████ were destroyed by what was described as "A sacred, purifying light". The effect of SCP-XXXX-1's destruction seems to be cumulative, as it's repurcussions are still being felt today (See Addendum 1b).

Addendum 1b:

18In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their anklets, and the fillets, and the crescents; 19the pendants, and the bracelets, and the veils; 20the headtires, and the armlets, and the sashes, and the corselets, and the amulets; 21the rings, and the nose-jewels; 22the aprons, and the mantelets, and the cloaks, and the girdles; 23and the gauze robes, and the fine linen, and the turbans, and the mantles.
24And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet spices there shall be rottenness; and instead of a girdle, rags; and instead of curled hair, baldness; and instead of a stomacher, a girding of sackcloth; branding instead of beauty. 25Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war. 26And her gates shall lament and mourn; and utterly bereft she shall sit upon the ground.

Given some of the predictions in the Books of Jeremiah and Ezekiel, ensuring the safety of these artifacts should be a top priority. -Dr. ████
