** SCP-1116**
Object Class:Safe
Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-1116, are to be kept under twenty-four hour video and audio surveillance. Care and observation is to be maintained by groups of same-sex individuals for a period no greater than six months. Any individuals expressing any unnatural interest in any instance of SCP-1116 is to report immediately for reassignment and evaluation. SCP-1116-01 and 02 are to be provided with one liter of human plasma once a week, with feedings to occur once per day.
Description:
SCP-1116 is a sculpture resembling a Neolithic Venus, carved in the bone of a yet unidentified animal. Carbon dating places the object's construction some during the Roman period, circa 500 BC.
SCP-1116 anomalous properties do not become apparent unless both a male and female subject enter its presence. These parties will be hitherto referred to as SCP-1116-A-male, and SCP-1116-B -female. At this time, despite orientation or personal preference, SCP-1116-A and B will begin to copulate. Both parties seem to participate of their own free will and if questioned after the event, the individuals will show no remorse over the act and describe it as greatly pleasurable and enjoyable.
After the initial event, SCP-1116-B will show signs of pregnancy. This event typically lasts three months or roughly one-third of the duration of a standard pregnancy. During this time, SCP-1116-B will undergo a series of dramatic bodily changes. These include enlargement of the reproductive organs and mammary glands. Growth of the abdominal area and upper thighs also occurs. Also noted is a thinning of the arms and lower legs to the point of atrophy. During the pregancy duration, SCP-1116-A will continue to copulate with SCP-1116-B. SCP-1116-A will perform to the point of exhaustion, pausing only for the most basic of needs.
At completion of the third month of pregnancy, SCP-1116-B will give birth to a figure resembling SCP-1116. This object, known as SCP-1116-01, shares the same properties as SCP-1116. Following the birth, SCP-1116-B remains in an state resembling a waking coma. Scans of brain activity during this phase indicate only minimum function. SCP-1116-B seems not to require any sustenance nor does it expel any waste matter. Only upon very close examination is SCP-1116-B seen to breath or blink.
Immediately following the birth, SCP-1116-A was observed speaking to SCP-1116-01, holding it like a newborn. In the following days, SCP-1116-A grew attached to SCP-1116-01 and expressed distress at being separated from it. SCP-1116-A vocalized further concern for his 'child' when SCP-1116-01 was removed for examination. SCP-1116-A became protective of SCP-1116-01 upon its return and spent several hours comforting it. SCP-1116-A was further observed smearing blood over the figure, which had been drawn from a few deep bites inflicted upon SCP-1116-A's lips and mouth.
One month following the birth event. SCP-1116-A was discovered laying prostrate before SCP-1116-B. SCP-1116-A had expired during the previous night. Cause of death was exsanguination after severing of ██████. The words Magna Mater were inscribed in SCP-1116-A's blood before SCP-1116-B.
Upon review of the security footage, SCP-1116-A was observed to kiss SCP-1116-01 and place it upon floor before approaching SCP-1116-B. SCP-1116-A was observed to mount and briefly copulate with SCP-1116-B before abruptly convulsing and falling prostrate to the floor. Closer inspection of the footage revealed that SPC-1116-B had severed [DATA EXPUNGED] and it was continuing to [DATA EXPUNGED], as in the manner of the male Apis mellifera, or European honeybee. The [DATA EXPUNGED], recovered inside [DATA EXPUNGED], was found to be pregnant once more. SCP-1116-B gave birth to the second instance of SCP-1116, referred to as SCP-1116-02.
SCP-1116-01 was found held in the arms of SCP-1116-A, blood smeared around what is generally assumed to be the head region. After the event unique dietary requirements of SCP-1116-01 were made apparent. When no feedings occurred, SCP-1116-01 was seen to decay and atrophy as if undergoing starvation. During a routing cleaning of the holding area, the D-class placed in charge of the task was drawn towards SCP-1116-01. D-67739 was seen to pick up SCP-1116-01 and drop it suddenly, claiming it had bitten or cut him. The guard on duty observed the considerable quantity of blood spattered on SCP-1116-01 being absorbed into its structure. Its needs were determined shortly after and a feeding schedule was implemented in order to preserve it and SCP-1116-02 for further testing.
Addendum: Initial Containment
SCP-1116 was discovered in the ruins of Exham █████ in ██████ E██████. It was located in a subterranean antechamber that had been sealed off after the structure had been demolished in the 1920s. Cursory investigation into the area's history revealed the presence of a now defunct cult once headed by the family █████. The line appears to have died out, with the last member having expired shortly after the destruction of the ancestral home.
Researchers' Note : It should be noted that while there are some similarities between SCP-1116 and SCP 597, there are no plans to introduce one to the other. Any link that may or not exist between the two is being tentatively and carefully researched. We are not going to throw the two of them together in a room just to see what happens. Dr. A.
