So, yeah, my sandbox. Pro tip: Liberal use of [DATA EXPUNGED], [REDACTED] and those blanks makes EVERYTHING better.
Item #: SCP-XXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: All units of SCP-XXX are to be stored in a small lizard tank, which in turn is to be stored in a locked cell, 3m by 3m by 3m. Under no circumstances should any pillows, stuffed animals, or other bed-related objects are to be brought into the chamber. Any agents seen doing as such will be terminated. Once a week, the individual creatures should be taken into a seperate room with one (1) queen-sized bed for feeding. They are then to be fed one (1) decently-sized steer, to be tranquilized beforehand. After feeding, the organisms will be collected and taken back into their containment cell.
Description: A fully grown SCP-XXX is an insectoid creature about the size of a leopard gecko and gray-red in color. They have ten legs, and no eyes, but they posess an excellent sense of smell. They also are lacking a mouth, but feed in a peculiar manner.
When an SCP-XXX organism (or group of them) gets hungry, it will immediately set out to look for a bed or other sleeping furnishing. Things related to beds, such as pillows or stuffed animals, will also work, but the matress itself must be present for feeding. Therefore, the object must then be placed on a bed for the process to begin. Once they get there, they will burrow into the matress. They will then undergo an interesting procedure, wherein they "bond" with the metal of the springs. They quickly infect the entire spring set, and there they secrete a pheromone that causes sleepiness in all organic life forms within an area of ten (10) feet. Any pheromone-effected creatures will crawl into the bed and immediately go to sleep.
Once the organism is in deep sleep, SCP-XXX will begin its feeding phase. The creature will use its connection to the bed to form the bedsprings into a single spike. The creature will then drive the spike upwards, into the sleeping organism's heart, killing it almost instantly. Small hooks will then sprout from the spike and drag the victim into the wide hole made by the spike. Once in contact with the SCP-XXX, the creature will [DATA EXPUNGED] to "eat" and "digest" its prey. It will then un-bond with the springs and crawl away to sleep.
Addendum: It appears that when multiple SCP-XXXs infect a single bed, they will cooperate in taking down the prey. This has proven useful for feeding all of the captured specimens at once.
Addendum-02: If the "Do Not Remove" tag on a bed is removed while SCP-XXX is infecting it, the remover will immediately be killed, regardless of the fact that they are not asleep. Should the tag be removed before infection, [DATA EXPUNGED]
Item #: SCP-XXX
Object Class: (Placeholder)
Special Containment Procedures: Any and all instances of SCP-XXX should be reported immediately to level 04 or higher personnel for storage. All copies of XXX are to be stored in a hermetically sealed room. Should the copies accumulate to over [REDACTED], the contents of the room should be incinerated in order to reduce the chance of the copies coming into contact with the outside world.
In addition, should instances of SCP-XXX-1 through 7 appear, the families residing in the homes should be immediately evicted. Agents masquerading as repo men will forclose the home, and the families will be relocated to homes of equal value nearby. SCP-XXX-1 through 7 will then be demolished, and the remains dumped.
