Containment Procedure: SCP-873 is stationed at Dim-sector 73, in a concrete room (16 meters x by 16 meters) Three mounted cameras watch the room at all times. No Personnel below Level 2 are to be given access to SCP-0873's chamber. Except for testing purposes, or special orders.
Description: SCP-873 is a a white hooded robe seemingly with an unseen humanoid being wearing it, the figure measures about 240 cm. Whether there is more to the subject’s appearance than just the robe remains unknown. Attempts at seeing within the robe have caused the subject to become violent until the attempt is disengaged or the subject has ████████ ████████. Attempts at using photographing and filming have also caused similar outbursts from the subject, unlike its other attacks it will not absorb the filming equipment, but pick them up and throw them until they are inoperable. Touching the robe at all will cause hostile until the provoker has been ████████. All other attempts at getting any reaction out of SCP-873 through any non-physical means have proven unsuccessful.
No way containing SCP-873 has yet shown any results. Often it vanish out of containment only to return again seconds or even days later. How it is able to do so is being researched. After careful investigations using the sightings, Its been shown that the subject often leaves to seek out and feed on other hostile dimensional anomalies similar to itself. Sightings of the subject have recorded all over Earth making SCP-873's movements difficult to keep recorded and contained (see SCP-873 Sightings Records 1). While SCP-873 will mostly feast only on sentient inter-dimensional beings or at least beings with traces of dimensional residue, there are some rare cases the subject will be found hunting things that have no visible residue, though these being are often dangerous or unusual enough to have been considered adding to SCP-objects. What the subject gains from its food is unknown.
An eye witness (see Witness Interview- SCP-873, 1) report found that the subject seems to devour or absorb its prey by merely grabbing hold of it with the arms of its robe. With in a minute the being no matter how large it fades away. Curiously SCP-873 has not once attempted at feeding on any of the items in our custody.
There have been recorded sightings of the subject not hunting while out of his containment. While most sightings are out of Foundation compounds there have been ██ sightings of it being inside Foundation facilities. Often found facing other SCP-873 subjects though as of yet SCP-873 has not attempted to interact with them. (see SCP-873 Sightings records 2) As to why SCP-873 returns to its chamber area is unknown, while some theories are speculated all are inconclusive.
After careful analyses its been concluded that SCP-873 show some signs of intelligence by its manner while hunting, though all attempts at communication or testing its intelligence thus far have failed.
