Initial introduction experiment ██-███-██ |

Item #: SCP-XXX "The Blood Oracle"
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXX-1 is to be contained in a 10m x 10m room that is devoid from porous or absorbent materials. An emergency containment drain is to be installed in the event of SCP-XXX-2 breach. The drain system is to be sealed off from any other Site-██ plumbing and should be inspected weekly for material defect. SCP-XXX-1 is to have specially designed eyewear worn surgically attached to the front of its face (see Schematic ██-██-█). The two main functions of the eyewear are to contain and siphon off SCP-XXX-2 and to block all electromagnetic radiation to and from SCP-XXX-1's eyes. All siphoned SCP-XXX-2 is to route to an incinerator unless needed for testing.
SCP-XXX-1 is to be outfitted in a basic liquid-proof nylon smock and provided an air mattress as well as appropriate nourishment and hygene for a standard human. Research should take place no more than two times a month in an attempt to minimize emotional distress. Amnesiacs or therapeutic pharmaceuticals of any kind are not to be given to SCP-XXX-1 due to the results of Experiment-XXX-4.
Description: SCP-XXX is a transmissible medical condition that has symptoms reminiscent of hemorrhagic fever. However, the condition only manifests in the choroid layer of the eye. This results in visual occlusion that culminates in blindness as blood bursts through the retina and fills the eye cavity. A more significant effect is the flooding of the ocular ducts, creating a constant stream of bloody tears; SCP-XXX-2. SCP-XXX does not currently present a containment risk as the unique method of transmission is outlined in Experiment-XXX-3. The current host of SCP-XXX is designated SCP-XXX-1, formerly Assistant Researcher ██████████.
SCP-XXX-2 is the central feature of SCP-XXX.
