Preliminary identification of a possible SCP can save valuable time in the long run!
It can also save on valuable resources, by providing a clearer picture of the situation to first respondent personal!
Class 1 origin: man made, accidental.
Threat level: 1-4
Appearance: everyday object.
Description: A perfectly normal object which has taken on anomalous properties.
Suggested response: Ensure object is separated from contact with any living thing as soon as possible. Secure immediate area.
Class 2 origin: man made, purpose built.
Threat level: 2-6
Appearance: Evidence of tool marks, highly unusual items.
Description: Object constructed with the intent of harnessing anomalous properties.
Suggested response: Immediately kill/restrain any living creatures in immediate area. Secure immediate area against unwanted entry. Retreat to [REDACTED].
Class 3 origin: Natural threat.
Threat level: 1-4
Appearance: Outwardly normal plant or animal displaying unusual behavior, increased ability, or "impossible" feats.
Description: Plant or animal which has acquired anomalous properties.
Suggested response: Capture either single specimen, or breeding pair for study. Terminate, and sterilize any other specimens.
Class 4 origin: Mutated threat.
Threat level: 2-5
Appearance: Plant or animal which has changed in some obvious outward way.
Description: Plant or animal which has mutated extensively due to exposure to mutagens, through prolonged exposure to [REDACTED], or due to [REDACTED].
Suggested response: Capture either single specimen, or breeding pair for study. Terminate, and sterilize any other specimens.
Class 5 origin: [REDACTED].
Threat level:3-9
Appearance: Signs of extensive mutation in surrounding area, obvious violations of the laws of physics, [REDACTED], [REDACTED].
Description: [REDACTED].
Suggested response: If situation appears outwardly normal retreat to [REDACTED], and await further orders. If situation appears to be worsening enter area, and attempt containment/extermination.
Remember Your prefixes!
Class X-Psy: Psychic threat.
+2-3 initial threat level.
Appearance: Civilians in area behaving strangely. Cult-like behavior. Insistence that nothing is wrong. Headaches. Unusual thoughts. [REDACTED]
Description: A nearby SCP is attempting to influence the thoughts and behavior of anyone in the immediate area.
Suggested response: Implement strategy Psy-1. Retreat to [REDACTED]. Capture any civilians encountered. Await further orders.
Class X-Eth: Ethereal threat.
+2-4 initial threat level.
Appearance: Unusual disappearances. No visible threats in spite of casualties. [REDACTED]
Description: A nearby SCP is somehow able to avoid conventional detection.
Suggested response: Request weapon loadout PBXQ-31. Retreat to [REDACTED]. Implement strategy Sur-1.
Class X-Mut: Mutative threat.
+3-5 initial threat level.
Appearance: Extensive mutation present in local plants, and animals. Evidence of parasitic, or symbiotic SCP. Sudden illness, or signs of injury among team.
Description: A nearby SCP is attempting to physically alter living tissue.
Suggested response: Implement strategy decon-1. Retreat to [REDACTED]. Await further orders. Cooperate with any researchers.
Class x-███
+4-6 initial threat level.
Appearance: Violations of the laws of physics, multiple prefix situation, [REDACTED]
Description: [REDACTED]
Suggested response: Implement strategy fix-1.
