Zakkin's new skip

MAIN IDEA: A computer with AI made specifically to develop robots for different purposes, and the AI that controls them. Has been active for 10 or so years. After the second/third year it started to store pictures of the completed AIs and robot designs in their own seperate folders, then it stored more pictures of the AIs but in development, then it started to record their date of creation as an annual event on the calender. Every time a robot is completed, the AI is transferred over to the body (an originally silent process but over time it's grown to be a longer and louder process, like the computer wailing). There will be a notebook written by someone who used the computer to make robots, and it will contain more information about it. Like how the writer noticed that the screenshots started to show the AIs growing up, each program starting under the name "Hello World" up until the finished virus name. Possible name series could be Wormsapling - Wormwood, make more names here. Every annual event where an AI was born the computer stops coding for the duration o that day.

Over time, as the computer evolved to become more sapient (without the knowledge of the users) it started to treat its AIs/robots like its children. When born a birthday is marked on the calender, there's pictures of them growing up from a baby (Hello World) to its final product, it's reluctant for the children to finally leave it (hence the gradually longer and louder burning process) unlike parents when their children finally move out, and every time a child is gone it grieves and makes a new child in order to comfort itself, thus completing the cycle. It's caught in its own loop, making itself more productive without intention to.

Although robots made have AI they have the intelligence of children and are not seen to have progressed from that stage. The robots are made for different purposes, but mainly for offensive measures. Some for scouting, some with ineffective BB guns mounted on them (still rather powerful) some with little blades on their arms, and some made to keep the computer up and running like people looking after their senior parents. The lab in which the computer was found is full of them.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a 5m x 5m x 3m observation chamber within site-██. Interfering with the creation of SCP-XXXX-1 instances during process SCP-XXXX-Alpha is prohibited due to possible damage to SCP-XXXX. All completed instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be neutralised and taken away to be disassembled and researched with the exception of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an old military computer dated to be roughly ██ years old, hooked up to a perpheral that appears to be an advanced 3D-printer capable of laying down metal, plastic and circuitry.

The 3D printer is comprised of a 1m2 square metal platform sitting atop of a 1m3 stand made of a durable plastic, the same material the casing of the computer is made of. Attatched to back the platform are three three meter-long servo arms that are able to rotate around the platform: the first left-most arm is capable of printing and cooling plastic, the second arm is capable of laying down and soldering certain metals1, and the third arm is capable carrying parts of circuitry and other electrical parts via a claw. These parts have been seen to arrive via a small hatch to the side of the platform nearest to the computer, which opens up and has the part appear via small elevator. After the claw collects the part, the eleveator is seen receeding back into the platform and the hatch shuts; where these parts come ffrom is unknown as the printer has under foundation observation for ██ and has never recorded being refilled.

The computer itself is of an unknown model and make. The monitor and the computer tower are integrated and has a 10-inch screen. Upon recovery the computer lacked a keyboard and mouse, or any other kind of input, and so a keyboard and mouse was created specifically for SCP-XXXX. The operating system seems to be a heavily modified version of Windows █.0. The only programs on this version of windows is a sort of messaging program that can be used to interact with the computer, along with a drawing program that can be used alongside the messaging program, and also a folder directory. The amount of memory the computer has is unknown as through exploring its folder directories we have found out that it holds several terabytes of data.

The process SCP-XXXX-Alpha starts whenever the previous process of SCP-XXXX-Alpha ends. The time it takes for the process to run through can last any amount of time within 1 to ██ weeks. Within this process, SCP-XXXX will create a small robot through its 3D printer, and will code its functions through the computer. Each robot is designated as SCP-XXXX-X, with X being the ID of the robot. Most robots created had offensive purposes, although robots with different purposes have been created too. This process has four stages: the creation of the robot body, the creation of the robot's programming, the installation of the robot's programming, and the robot's release.

When SCP-XXXX was recovered, two robots were found with it, designated SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2. These robots are neither offensive or defensive and are made with the purposes of maintaining SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-1 looking after the computer2 and SCP-XXXX-2 looking after the 3D printer3 and also on each other, usually replacing old parts with new ones arriving from the hatch on the platform, which would explain why both SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 were found in such good working condition.
